I wanna touch the sea

I've always enjoyed mimicking the sounds of other animals. I used to think I could never mimic the sound of a dolphin... Until I realized the "famous dolphin laugh" was actually a kookaburra.

Learning they click and whistle, learning I can click and whistle... That was pleasant before I even knew about the concept of therians.

I had never sought out ASMR videos, but I happened to stumble across one today that feels... Different.

The clack of scissors don't sound like hair being cut. It sounds more like line being cut. Like I'm being freed from a net.

The whispers are inaudible. Like they're in another language I do not understand. A wild killer whale would not understand any human language, after all.

It's euphoric to listen to.

I long to cruise silently in a straight line for as long as I can, drifting, floating, ever forward. I want to test my limits. I want to see what lies beyond. I want to keep moving, to never be held back, to swim and swim until I rise for my last breath.

It is not a curse to wander. It is a promise to always push forward.

I attempted to draw myself. I am not completely satisfied with it, but it's something for reference.

I do really like the idea of a severed dorsal fin. I believe that suits me quite nicely.

When it's quiet and I am alone, I occasionally make clicking sounds with my throat. It's not quite echolocation, I do not gain additional insight on my surroundings with it, but it can feel euphoric.

It's a quiet call into the vast silence. I am still here. I am alive.

Picturing myself... I see scars on the fronts of my pectoral fins. I do not see a dorsal fin. I see evidence of entanglement.

I have frequently been held back from reaching my full potential, whether that has been the consequences of my own choices or the results of the world we live in. Yet I persevere.

I believe this description fits me quite well.
