This is VERY important for queer ppl of color, staying in the closet allows them more freedom than coming out.

The mainstream queer community doesn’t have a whole lot of genuine use for queer people of color. It’s a lot like the feminist movement in about white people and white priorities for queer people. All you have to do is look at the representation in media and that’s clear, let alone within the organizations that are supposed to uplift all queer people.

Why would QPoC give up the security and comfort of their racial and ethnic community for a queer community that more likely to just tokenize and use them.
