And tbh it works Iâve seen it done on other people itâs kinda called something like the âavailability trapâ where you make them feel special and then humble them by dropping them.
She has successfully played this game on him since 2013-2018. So in 2018 when she wanted to replay that game he got really sick and tired of it and went off with Hailey. Selena had the mindset that she would do this with him a few more times and then marry him because not only does she love him but she also thinks she owns him as if heâs a gift given to her and no one else can take him away.

So to answer your question she declined the first marriage proposal in 2012 because he was naive and she didnât want to marry him at 20. But she always had a feeling sheâd tie him down in the much later future. Also Selena likes to kill two birds with one stone so she loves him but also loves using him for her advantage too.
