Scott: Theo was like an angel that fell from heaven...
Stiles: So was Lucifer.

The three things that happen when a show unexpectedly discovers it has a popular gay ship
1. They ignore it while panicked efforts are made to heterosexualize the couple in question. An acceptable straight white love interest is rapidly shoe-horned into the narrative.
2. They decide to do something nice for their queer fans by introducing an entirely different gay romance that those fans had no previous interest in. This couple will quickly be sidelined.
3. They actually get the gay couple who are shipped by the fandom together. Then they kill one of them.
The one thing that never happens when a show unexpectedly discovers it has a popular gay ship
1. They realize they can take advantage of the scorching chemistry between the pair, slow-burn the romance and end the show by sending them off happily into the sunset.
#you forgot: ‘use a bunch of wink wink nudge nudge that the romance MIGHT happen to gain publicity but never actually follow through’ (@spurisani)
/sobbing my way through my Teen Wolf rewatch
the older I get, the less patience I have for the idea that a story is inherently complex or #deep because it has a bittersweet or tragic ending, or that people who like for things to end on a happy note are simple-minded weaklings who can’t handle harsh realities and mature storytelling.
Look, shit is fucked. Life is a mess. Sometimes it’s a struggle to even come up with a reason to go on. I respect that media should be realistic and true to life, but fucking sue me, for once I just want to see the bad guys eat shit while the good guys ride off into the sunset and never have anything bad happen to them ever again. I don’t care if it’s unrealistic or implausible, that’s why it’s a fucking story. I have enough tragedy in my real life, thanks.
I’m currently writing a Teen Wolf fic where Stiles inherits Grimm powers (and makes out with Derek, of course). Because it’s basically 2011 in my head and I’m revisiting old fandoms.
Drop Puppyshipping and Embrace Violetshipping
In the words of @risualto
“Alright, so technically speaking, Kaiba never actually calls Jounouchi a puppy. Technically. Because what he actually says to Jou translates from Japanese as “loser dog.” It’s not just insulting, it’s dehumanizing and a horrible thing to say to someone especially in Japanese culture where everything is based on respect for the people around you.“ “Puppyshipping is cute. It’s popular. It’s classic. But it’s never felt right because the origins of that (literal) pet name are just twisted and borderline abusive.”
Now, considering there are so many ship names in ygo, we came up with Violetshipping in honor of Blue Eyes and Red Eyes in the hopes of creating a name for a ship we love that does not contain problematic origins.
Ok ngl, I was reluctant at first as a long time puppyshipper, but after someone reblogged something from me with this new tag like…I’m kinda down for it?
Full support ok let’s make this happen
Omg. Are we doing this? I’ve always liked the idea of violetshipping, but I think a lot of us who didn’t like the name puppyshipping just kind of resigned ourselves to its ubiquity. And yet, almost everyone I’ve ever talked to… doesn’t like it. I actually don’t think I’ve ever spoken about it to anyone whose feelings were more positive than “it’s okay I guess.”
So… if we’re DOING THIS…
(`・ω・)ゞ
friendship ended with PUPPYSHIPPING
now VIOLETSHIPPING is my best friend
Changing my blog in support <3
Not sure if this will catch but will update tags for violet and kaijou this weekend (I have waaaay too many posts)
I’ve been contrarily calling it Joukai for over a decade now, haha. /old
How to smuggle a 2-liter into a movie theater
My peer counselor called this “amputee perks,” LOL.
I’m mostly jelly of his balance because I am still very far away from being able to do more than hold desperately to my walker as I hop around.
Is it just me or has Supernatural been excellent this season? I don’t know if it’s legitimately good or if it’s because it’s the first season I’ve watched live since I bailed in season 6 or what. But I’m loving it.
(consequence #22 of having cancer and then having your leg amputated: nothing to do for months but sit around and watch season 7-11 of SPN.)
“We don’t have to retrain [police]. We gotta let them be held accountable for their actions.” -Ronald Lanier (x) | follow @the-movemnt
Where’s all the “Blue Lives Matter” people now?!?! …Or does that only apply when the victims are White? …Or does that only matter if the offenders aren’t also cops?
As someone who works in the middle of this venn diagram (technically sheriff’s office but I work inside a correctional facility) this is even more appalling. God. :(
You cannot convince me that Cas’s first “I love you” wasn’t specifically for Dean, which is why he added “I love all of you” for clarification. The shot cut to Dean -- and only Dean -- after the first one, but to everyone after the second. Gah, my feels.
Also, the spear in the side injury? Just me or was that some serious Christ on the cross callback?
Wow, it’s been years since I logged in to tumblr! But here I am, because I need to fandom again.
What have I been up to? I got a rare cancer that only has a 30% survival rate. Currently I’m okay because THEY AMPUTATED MY LEG to get rid of all the cancer cells.
At the moment, I’m stuck in a wheelchair and on medical leave. Hence the need to fandom again. Hey, y’all.

At first, Jim's dreams are dismissed as a psychological symptom of his latest trauma, but when he starts talking about a place called the Nexus, the answer no longer seems so cut-and-dried. But disturbing dreams aren't the only thing Jim's struggling with -- there's Starfleet's concern over his mental stability, the repairs of his beloved ship and the little matter of the fact that his First Officer seems to be intent on ignoring him.

:O do you still remember the sephiroth x aerith fanfics you really liked xD?
It's been a loooong time but I remember one of them was Irony of Fate by JenesisX, which is an AU of the game: https://m.fanfiction.net/s/1301689/1/Irony-of-Fate and T'Shael's Mirror Image series, still available on angelfire here: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/aslove/fanfics.html
There were others but I can't remember the names or the authors, hahaha. I will try to think of more, though!
$1. Hours of entertainment.
I'm always surprised (and a little disheartened) when my fellow fanfic writers (especially the slash writers) decry any knowledge or fondness for trashy romance novels, daytime soaps or sometimes even rom coms. Newsflash: most fanfic tropes ARE trashy romance novel or soap opera tropes, especially once you get into a lot of the AUs. Every one of those novels I just bought could be a fanfic summary for almost any pairing I read. Marriage for ~reasons~? Secret spy/superhero spouse? Identity porn romance? Yup. It's all there.
No shame here: I love my trashy romance novels and my soaps and my fanfic.
