Our Battles Are Not Physical #SpiritualBattles #GodIsMyDefender #ExpressionOfFaith2020 Everything seems to be going haywire and nothing seems to be going as planned. Frustration kicks in then anger then depression. We often wonder why everything is not going the way we think that they should. It feels like you’re going in circles and it’s like someone else is making the rules for your life. You just can’t seem to get a hang of life and you feel stuck and repetitive. No matter how much you fight, you just never seem to win. Our fights are not physical but spiritual. The enemy has his demons, witches, and warlocks here on this earth to do his bidding. When we feel like we are never getting ahead in life, there is a plan of the enemy to orchestrate your life so that you can remain stuck. Persons who are jealous of you or don’t want to see you reach and fulfill your purpose in God use evil forces to either stop or kill you. These spiritual attacks and orchestrations are real. Sometimes, these attacks come from persons closest to you for their agenda. 'For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places' Ephesians 6:12 NLT. We have to be in the spiritual to see what is affecting our lives in the physical. Go before God and ask Him to fight your battles as the battle belongs to Him. Pray for those who hurt you and not against them. Stay in God’s presence and ask Him to allow you to see the plans of your enemies in advance. When Temptation Comes Your Way #NextLevel #HigherInGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 Temptation comes in all shapes, forms, and sizes. As children of God, we are tempted each day but we are to always remain focused on God. Just as Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, so we are tempted to worship the enemy and do wrong. During these temptations, we are to remain focused and steadfast in God. Temptation does not come easy because we sin in words, thoughts, and deeds but the Father is willing to see us through once we keep our eyes focused on Him. When we are tempted to do the things of this world and tempted to do wrong, always remember who we worship a God who is bigger than any temptation we may face. Our God is a God who will give you the patience and faith to overcome any temptations. He will place a shield of protection around so that the temptations do not lure you to sin. We have to take an example from Jesus when He was being tempted. Jesus commanded the enemy to flee away from Him and when He departed, God sent His angels to protect Him. '“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.”' St. Matthew 4:10 NLT. Decree and declare today that no temptation would make you stray away from your God and worship any false gods. No temptation would make you sin wilfully and lose your blessings and your way in God. Remember, however, through all trials, temptations, and tribulations, we are to give God thanks. God will deliver you from any temptation. Use the Word of God that is in your heart to counteract any plans of the enemy. Let the Word of God reign in you so that you can defeat the plans of the enemy and be victorious in God. Leveling Up In God #NextLevel #HigherInGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 In this season, the enemy has increased his level of attacks on the church and the children of God. It seems like the church however is stagnant and comfortable with these attacks and the people have no idea how to fight in God. To level up in God, we have to be on a spiritual walk where not even you understand the changes and where God is taking you but you’re walking by faith. We have to go deeper into God so that any attacks from the enemy, God shows us in advance. The church has gotten too comfortable and lackadaisical with their walk with God that we are blinded by the enemy and taken advantage of and the world is laughing at us. We the children have to change our agenda where our main focus is on God and not of this world. Too long we have been distracted and confused to the point where the enemy is even making his home in churches, homes, and our lives. It’s time for us to get deeper in God as we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). It’s time for us to take our spiritual walk with God seriously so that the enemy can stop bombarding us by turning our children against us, our families, and our friends. We have to take a stand against the enemy and his plans and level up in God for God to do a work in us. 'I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.' Philippians 3:14 NLT. We have a race to complete because our Heavenly Father has given us a purpose to fulfill. To finish this race, we have to level up in God and grow deeper in Him. God Sits Upon The Throne #GodsThrone #MostHighGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 Our Most High God sits on His throne looking at what His children do each day. He is majestic in all His glory and a sovereign God. No matter how high He sits, He is still a God that loves us and wants His children to fulfill their purpose. He looks down on us each day in a loving way not as a human would that sits on a throne here on earth. He is always welcoming and waiting for His children to stand before Him. If we have to visit the queen, there are protocols that we need to follow to see her face to face. An appointment has to be made and approved then if approved, we are not allowed to speak until she permits us to nor can we make contact with her without her approval. When it comes to our Heavenly Father, there are no protocols nor appointments to stand or bow before His throne. He is always free so no appointment is required and we can speak to Him at any time and tell Him our hearts’ desires. 'And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it. The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow. ' Revelation 4:2-3 NLT. Our God is not too high for us to reach nor is He too busy to give us a listening ear. There are no protocols we have to follow when we approach God’s throne. He welcomes anyone to come before Him and surrender everything we are carrying or feeling. During The Storm #GodWillSeeYouThrough #ExpressionOfFaith2020 The wind is raging, debris is flying all around and you are losing your grip. The darkness seems to never end and the roaring of the seas and thunder is deafening. Your heart is beating fast and your mind is wandering to so many different things and you feel like giving up all hope. The storms of life can have such a great effect on us to the point where we feel like we can’t go on anymore. It feels like it is just too much. You feel like giving up. That is just what the enemy wants and that’s why he sends these storms your way. During the storm, stand still and listen to the soft, still voice of God. No matter how loud it may seem around you, you can still hear His voice. It will calm you through any storm. God will cover and protect you through any storm you are facing as long as you put your trust in Him and believe that He will guide you. 'We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down but never abandoned by God. Before The Storm #GodWillSeeYouThrough #ExpressionOfFaith2020 Before a storm, some signs inform us of an incoming disaster. The wind becomes still and the clouds start to turn grey. The same can be for the storms in our life. We usually have signs to alert us before the enemy starts raging and trying to tear our lives apart. Many of these signs we ignore because we think that the storm will not approach or it’s far in the distance. The enemy does not give us a schedule of his timetable on when he will attack. That’s why we as children of God have to always be vigilant and prepared. God has prepared us with His word on how to overcome any storms that are in our life. When the storms hit, they may not hit hard right away so even then, we may not take it seriously. When we see the signs of a storm approaching in our life, God has given us the power to stop the storm in its track. We have the power to prevent the enemy from doing any damage to our spiritual and physical life. Our God is a shelter from daytime heat and a hiding place from storms and rain' Isaiah 4:6 NLT. Our God can shield us from any storms the enemy sends our way. Be mindful of the plans of the enemy and the brewing of any storms in the distance. Don’t take it lightly as the devil has come to kill, steal, and destroy, not to make friends. In this season, the enemy is raging more than ever before attacking God’s children from all angles. If It Wasn’t For God! #GodWillMakeAWay #ListenToGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 If it wasn’t for God where would you be? Honestly, I would be six feet waiting for judgment day to be sent to eternal fire. As tough as the truth may sound, many of us can look back and say, “If it wasn’t for God!” We would be lost in an ever-changing world, either insane, in prison, living a life of sin, or worst, dead. But, we serve a God who is loving, forgiving, and just. He is willing to forgive us of our sins once we repent and turn from the life we once lived. Through God’s grace and mercy, we can say we have survived many sicknesses and diseases, natural disasters even slander and rumours against us. 'What if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us? They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.' Psalms 124:2-3 NLT. When men seek to destroy us, God turns it around so that your enemies can bless you. Don’t refuse the unexpected blessings whether they be from an enemy or friend. God works in mysterious ways. We ought to give Him thanks and praise for all the wonderful things He has done in our lives. Don’t be caught up with the things of this world. Let God be your center of attention because we all have a testimony to share. He has brought us out of some dark places in our life that we know it was not us who got us through. Could only be God. When God Speaks What Do You Do? #GoToGodAlone #ListenToGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 We know that our God speaks to us. It can be when we are in a good mood or when we are in our darkest hour. Whenever God speaks to us, we ought to keep it to ourselves most of the time unless we are instructed by God to do otherwise. The reason being, persons around you can deter you from doing what God has instructed you to. Sometimes, we have to shut out the world and keep what God says between us and Him. Not everything God says to you, you should tell your friend, family, or leader. There are many dream killers around us and once we let them know what God says to us, lots of discouraging words or fake glory will be given to you. Anything you desire to do, go before God and don’t let your left hand know what the right hand is doing (St. Matthew 6:3). Your left hand could be your right hand’s downfall. Keep it between you and God and let Him lead the way. Not everything should be spoken in the atmosphere. The devil usually waits in the dark to hear what God says to you so that He can sabotage your blessings. Many times we share what God said to us to others and because they are not on the same journey as you, they have no idea what God is doing for you. Your journey at times should not be shared with others as they will not understand the change God is making in you. When Abraham went to sacrifice his son Isaac, he did not inform his wife about it and he left his servant behind. His wife and servant would have made him disobey God and miss his blessing. What Are The Necessary Requirements In Going Forward In God? #GoingForwardInGod #SacrificesForGod #ListenToGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 Our walk with God requires us to change from the norm to do the things that he expects from us. Sometimes, in this walk, we lose friends, families, and even church members. People will not always understand where God is taking us so they would usually come to their conclusion. God’s ways are not our ways, therefore, the way He does things and the way He thinks is not the way we think. '“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.' Isaiah 55:8 NLT There are sacrifices we have to take to fulfill our walk with God that sometimes can be uncomfortable. We have to be uncomfortable to get comfortable in God as we are no longer conformed to this world. Praying and fasting have to become our lifestyle for God to use us the way He wants. We have to reject this world – people may call you insane – to understand the things in the spirit. We cannot function in this world as the world expects us so any new thing will be labeled as insane. Often, we have to sacrifice relationships as some are only but for a season. Not everyone is in your life for a lifetime. Not everyone can help you along your journey with God. Some are just a hindrance and a set back for you to move forward in God. We have to trust that what God is doing in our life this season is to take us forward. Don’t mourn the loss of relationships. God will send the right people in your life. Is Pain and Hurt Hindering Your Blessings? #RemoveBaggage #GetYourBlessings #ListenToGod #ExpressionOfFaith2020 We all have a story to tell and somewhere in that story is lots of pain and hurt. Carrying around baggage of pain and hurt can lead to unforgiveness, hate, regret, depression, and so forth. It is not a good thing carrying that baggage around in our hearts. It affects the way we trust, the way we deal with others, and even our relationship with God. We can get caught up and tangled up in the baggage of hurt that we hurt others without intentionally doing so. We act on how we feel because of what we experienced in the past and never let God take care of it for us. 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed' Psalms 34:18. Pain and hurt eventually come to the surface and it makes us unpleasant to be around or causes the enemy to take advantage of us. If we do not cast all our pain and hurt before God, He cannot heal your broken heart and set your mind free. Baggage of pain and hurt affects the mind, body, soul, and spirit. When we are clouded with pain and hurt, it is difficult for us to hear from God and see clearly what He is showing us. Even though the pain may be unbearable, go before God and cry if you may but allow Him to take that pain and hurt and turn it into joy, peace, and love. God cannot work with a heart that is filled with pain and hurt as we will in time cast all our blame on Him. Instead of letting the pain and hurt take over your life, place them at God’s feet and allow Him to move in your life like never before. He will teach you forgiveness, love, and peace. We cannot function in this world as the world expects us so any new thing will be labeled as insane. Often, we have to sacrifice relationships as some are only but for a season. Not everyone is in your life for a lifetime. Not everyone can help you along your journey with God. Some are just a hindrance and a set back for you to move forward in God. Carrying around baggage of pain and hurt can lead to unforgiveness, hate, regret, depression, and so forth. It is not a good thing carrying that baggage around in our hearts. It affects the way we trust, the way we deal with others, and even our relationship with God. We can get caught up and tangled up in the baggage of hurt that we hurt others without intentionally doing so. We act on how we feel because of what we experienced in the past and never let God take care of it for us. 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed' Psalms 34:18. Pain and hurt eventually come to the surface and it makes us unpleasant to be around or causes the enemy to take advantage of us. If we do not cast all our pain and hurt before God, He cannot heal your broken heart and set your mind free. Baggage of pain and hurt affects the mind, body, soul, and spirit. When we are clouded with pain and hurt, it is difficult for us to hear from God and see clearly what He is showing us. Even though the pain may be unbearable, go before God and cry if you may but allow Him to take that pain and hurt and turn it into joy, peace, and love. God cannot work with a heart that is filled with pain and hurt as we will in time cast all our blame on Him. Is this the right approach? No, it is not. Frustration causes us to add baggage in our lives and it keeps on building to the point we have no space in our lives to hear God’s voice and see the things He is showing us because we are clouded and overcome with so much baggage. Changes in our life can cause frustration as for some of us, it is not easy to adapt to new things. God wants people who can adapt and leave frustration at His feet so that He can do a work in us. He wants to be able to reach you at any time because your mind and heart are free from baggage caused by frustration. 'Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Carrying baggage not only affects our relationship with God but it also affects our ministry, loved ones, and us personally. This can be affected mentally, physically, and spiritually. Baggage makes us lose relationships as it causes us to have trouble forgiving, loving, or being compassionate. When we have a room filled to the roof with lots of stuff and still trying to add more, there will come a time when we can’t even open the door to enter. It is the same with our spiritual being. If we keep baggage and continue adding baggage, we have no room for God to move in our lives.
