Hello everyone! I'm Mod Blaze, and I'd like to welcome you all to Hollow Knight: Soulblood!
Soulblood, in its simplest form, is an AU/retelling of the Hollow Knight series. Much of the story remains the same, but I can never resist a chance to do ridiculous amounts of speculative worldbuilding, so this is what came of that!
At its core, the theme of Soulblood is: The choice of identity lies only with the one who holds it. This theme takes many forms throughout the story!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This story is bound to contain some possible spoilers, so proceed with caution!

The Story
As stated above, most of the main story in Soulblood remains the same as it does in Hollow Knight and Silksong. There will be some alterations in places, but honestly, Soulblood is more of a loving retelling of the canon story than a reimagining or overhaul of it.
The end goal for both halves of the story is going to be what I personally believe are the best endings: Dream No More for Hollow Knight and Sister of the Void for Silksong.
The Characters
I don't think there's a single character in the Hollow Knight series that I don't like in some form. Even characters I tend to avoid are very well-written, and I think that's amazing! As such, I want every character featured in Soulblood to feel equally thought-out and appreciated.
The main protagonists, of course, are going to be the Whitewyrm descendants (Ghost and Hornet), with the main antagonists being the respective higher beings they face on their journeys (Radiance and Grand Mother Silk.) I also plan on showing plenty of love to the deuteragonists (Quirrel, Cloth, Lace, Phantom, and many others!)
The Worldbuilding
I have done more worldbuilding for Soulblood over the past week than I have for some of my original stories over the course of years. Not sure what that says about me, but I'm super eager to share that worldbuilding!
Was playing Sonic cross worlds with my brother and got to witness the most cruel but also hilarious play. He chose the monster truck power up to start with and on Apotos he waited until everyone was stuck in the tiny ally way and just bulldozed the entire competition while I just cruised behind him.
