An Octopus Rode a Shark—and Somehow Became a Sticker
OctoShark began with a real wildlife sighting off New Zealand: an octopus was photographed hitching a ride on the back of a shark.
Google it.
It was strange, funny, and oddly adorable, so naturally I had to draw it.
The result is OctoShark (the marine biologists called it a Sharktopus for some odd reason), a cute little octopus confidently traveling by shark, as though this is a perfectly ordinary way to get around the ocean.
I recently shared the finished design with friends on Facebook: four stickers purchased, including one friend who bought two, followed by a five-star review.
