Unfortunately this is what I have to do to try and prevent other pages from using my stuff without permission.
This was triggered by me finding an uncredited post that got thousands of views and shares, and when I messaged them telling them to remove or credit me, they used mean, vulgar language towards me and told me that they didnât care if the video was mine, and to leave.
I do want you to know that it IS OK if you want to use me pics for things like cover photos, or phone wallpapers, or personal use. Just please tag me in it if itâs on the Internet. This is not directed to my loyal fans.
This disclaimer is mostly for other other pages with a high following, who have taken my videos such as âstinky footieâ, and âwen u member mam fed u lateâ without asking and have gotten thousands of likes, shares, comments, and followers for their own page.
For example: If a page reposts my video without credit, and 7k people share that uncredited copy of my video, and each person sharing has 300 friends, thatâs 2,100,000 potential viewers of my video, but have no knowledge about who it is in the video, or whoâs video it is.
Those people can then follow that page, or people will see that the video that was shared, was posted by that said page, and give that page recognition. When if it had been shared from my original page, people would know it came from me, and follow and give love to my page.
Pictures are videos are no less than an art piece. If someone took a piece of artwork that you had worked on, and reposted it without crediting you, and that post of your artwork, that didnât have your name it was seen thousands of times on the internet, and people were able to gain followers, shares, and possibly even monetary profit, youâd been upset too.
Also keep in mind that not all reposts are taken directly from my page. If one person who reposts without credit gets a ton of views, someone else could see the uncredited repost, and want to repost it themselves and credit that page instead of me.
