Some screenshots from playing playing the PC game Planetbase. It is a pretty cool game and reminds me of the old game from the 90s called Outpost.

In this video I discuss how the economy works in the game. How to get the resources you need to expand your base.

I decided to try playing Star Wars: The Old Republic again. I created a new character and I'm leveling him up.
My s4 home screen.
This is about the only way I can concentrate. I have to leave everything that is powered by a battery and can beep or make other noises that distract me. When I'm out here I can focus and I'm truly happy.
The Millennial Project: Colonizing The Galaxy in Eight Easy Steps, this books influenced me as a child is so many ways. I think it was the combination of space exploration and hippie utopianism. When I think about the future it is always framed in the perceptive built by this book. The color pages located in the middle of the book are amazing! I think that the saddest thing is how it has been forgotten by history. There are used copies available on amazon though.
The Mist & Walking Dead
I'm not going to lie, The Mist was a movie I didn't appreciate until 5 years after it came out. But what I found most interesting after another viewing was how many Walking Dead actors were in it. There were three, Jeffery DeMunn (Dale), Laurie Holden (Andrea), and Melissa Suzanne McBride (Carol). All are memorable characters from The Walking Dead. The Thing I find most amazing is how Laurie Holden looks younger in 2012-2013 than she did in 2007, also she is likeable in The Mist. After three season of The Walking Dead I though it was the actress I disliked not the character, boy was I wrong!
Wool just arrived today! I’ve heard nothing but good things. Once I finish the Under The Dome Audio book and Rocketship Galileo then this is next. All I can say about Rocketship Galileo is WOW the 40s were naive about space travel.
Under The Dome Audiobook Update
So I’ve made it through a good chunck of Under The Dome and all I can say is it’s AWESOME! I’ve only listened to one other audiobook, Halo Ghosts of Onyx. It was alright. I listened to it when doing the 12 hour drive to my home town to visit family. I don’t know if it was because I was young and have almost no attention span or the fact it was not that good, but I would start daydreaming and would quickly get lost. It was hard to focus on the story. Under The Dome is exactly the opposite of that. When a section would end I would immediately want to start the next. It is like a show like Lost or Breaking Bad, where when one show ends you want to start the next. Forget about the yard work and other responsiblities, Under The Dome is calling. Until the shows I’ve mentioned, Under The Dome is an audio book so it’s somewhat possible to do other things while listening to it.
I have a little less than 14 hours left in the 40+ hour audio book and I’m anxious to see what happens to the town of Chester’s Mill. Hopefully it the ending a little more friendly to Barbie than it was to David Drayton in the film version of The Mist.
Defiance Xbox 360
Finally an MMO for the Xbox 360! Even if it’s not quite World of Warcraft it’s still something different.
I’m so tired of the same old FPS games. That is one of the reaso s why I haven’t been playing my Xbox very much.
I feel like I’m playing the same games I did six years ago. I was never that much of a MMO gamer back when I had a gaming PC so a MMOFPS game is something new for me.
I also like the idea of having a game tied to a tv show. If it’s done right it could be pretty cool and most important it’s something different!
Under The Dome Audiobook
With Stephen King's Under the Dome coming to CBS this summer I decide to check it out. At over 1,500 pages reading it would take me a few months since I only average about 300 pages a month. But I do have a 25 min commute every morning and evening. So why not use that 50 mins that I usually use to listen to podcasts on Stitcher and instead get prepared for Under The Dome?
I originally didn't plan on buying the audiobook but there was a free exarpt on the audible app and after listen to the first 20 mins I had to buy it. So far I'm about 1 1/2 hours in and it's still pretty good. And at 34 hours it had better be!
Pretty awesome!
