you wanna know something i really like about the betweenlands? even though the whole environment is hostile, the whole fuckin dimension is fuckin eating you alive, breaking you down to parts as it has done so many others, there are still little joys. growing a small pear plant. keeping an emberling. raising your own chiromaw. the beautiful sheen of valonite. the wisps, riding a giant frog, living sheltered in a giant tree, figuring out what a simulacrum does….the world hates you. but you love it. you love its little pieces and you can always find something more to keep you going, to keep you coming back.

some various shots of this smaller cathedral . quick breakdown below the cut. also its kinda sloppy bc i was in the middle of colour palette testing.

the layout is mainly made out of these little 7x7 squares. the middle bit is 13x13, 4 of the 7x7s in a square basically lol. this can be scaled up, i used the same techniques in the 2nd build HERE, but anything below 5x5 will suck to build.

the ceilings are quite basic, i really just arc the columns to each other and the center of the square. the apse back there in the other scs is more complex to build but it follows the same principal.

i gathered a lot of this from shells124, but they lean a bit more towards realism in a way i dont.
