Nova was sitting on the rooftop with a cigarette in her mouth, she was only wearing her practice outfit and a thin jacket.

Andrew sat down next to her ignoring how the mascara had ran down her face

They sat there quietly, it was too quiet until xe spoke up

"What did you want to be? When you were small" Nova's voice was a mixture of sadness and something else Andrew couldn't quite place. He gave a low hum in response looking at xer

"You didn't want to be *this* . I'm sure of that" she let out a deep sigh "No child wants to become something like you"

It should have hurt Andrew, someone saying that to him but for some reason it just didn't. However before he could answer Nova cut him off.

"I wanted to be a ballerina" she said as she took a drag from hee cigarette, Andrew couldn't help but scoff a little, it wasn't happy it was rather sad

"A ballerina?" He asked lighting his own cigarette "Yes, they retire young" she looked at Andrew "Ballerinas"

Andrew didn't miss the pain in her eyes, the same one he felt when he was a kid. It was all too familiar.

A cloud of smoke swirled around Ichirou as he was standing next to his table looking at the paperwork he needed to finish, he had no idea who was about to walk into his office right that second.

The door creaked open and Ichirou immediately tensed "Ms. Dottie! What a suprise!" Ichirou almost dropped the cigarette from his own hand when he saw the familiar figure, he had heard so much about the world famous Dottie, stealer of hearts, charmer of men. She was also mean with gambling, no one had beaten her in poker, some say it's her name some say she cheats but no one knows for sure.

"Ah, Ichirou? Ichirou Moriyama?" She smiled as she stepped into his office, she gestured slightly and the two men behind her stopped in the doorway as she stepped inside fully and closed the door.

"It's uh Detective Moriyama, ma'am"
