This is a GREAT question and the reason is @jtl-fics and I just can not decide.
Matty has a fear of flying.
Jackson is afraid of the ocean.
Smithy is afraid of cars.
So one of them is going to be out of it for the trip to their destination. But I think we always end up with them on a private resort where they can just be alone and bask in their newly wed-ness and have crazy passionate sex.
David Wymack is long past overdue when it comes to being an actual parent to Kevin, so he doesn't bother with most things. In the months since receiving the news that Kevin was indeed his--not much has progressed from Coach and Player save for little moments here and there.
It makes sense. Kevin was a grown man already and didn't need someone hounding him for things teenagers would be scolded for. He helps where he can and refuses to let up on Kevin on and off court. So, primarily, things have been the same; if not for hints of warmth and Kevin's tentative tries at bonding that make them both cringe.
David isn't sure what to do about Henry.
Not that he has any jurisdiction to judge or advise Kevin on his choice in partner, not does have the need to judge. But David still has it in him to want someone that is good for Kevin.
Hell, even if he wasn't his biological father, he would want that anyway. Kevin came to him bloody and broken and David has seen so many of this kid's lows that he wants something better for Kevin. Someone better.
That being said, he doesn't know how to feel about Henry for a long time. Half because he rarely has the chance to see him--the guy barely comes round the stadium--and half because he gets middling results from his team.
Both from accidental eavesdropping and people (Nicky) stupidly involving him in conversations he doesn't want to be in: Henry is inconclusive.
Nicky, the wisdom of the loudmouth, thinks Henry is 'cute' and 'a little dorky' and 'Coach don't you think that nerd is perfect for Kevin?'.
Andrew, the rare moments Coach catches his reactions to the gossip, appears more stony than usual. David would be a fool to chalk that up to jealousy, but he wouldn't put it past him if it had to do with the deal Kevin and Andrew came to.
Neil and Aaron seem that they couldn't care less about the guy, besides the one time Aaron called Henry a 'loud asshole'. If Neil of all people doesn't mind him, should that be the line Henry is held to? Or is he just not crazy enough to bother Neil?
Kevin, David knows, is the opinion that matters the most. He feels silly for considering the things he has heard from his team of gossips, but that dull part of him that wishes Kevin came to him after Kayleigh's death wants to shout that he gets to have this.
And what does Kevin say? Not much... at first.
It's an annoyed look and confusion the one time Henry shouts across the parking lot to say hi to him. It's a calm expression at the casual mention of hanging out with Henry for coffee, and the later small chuckle at recalling something Henry had said about Greek Tragedies. It's a smile when Henry calls Kevin after practice.
And then it's, "You remember me mentioning... Henry? Right? He's... I'm with him. We're together."
After that, for a while, David thinks that every other piece of evidence against Henry is made inconsequential when he remembers how tentatively excited Kevin was to share the news. He has never put much stock in 'young love' or relationships outside of the ones made in rough times, but maybe this one this boy and his son have is good enough.
Later, when Kevin brings Henry for dinner at Abby's, he'll be gruff but attentive. He'll share a glance with Abby when Henry is obviously nervously talking himself into a spiral and Kevin saves him from himself. He'll join Henry on teasing Kevin. The night will be nice, and he'll catch Henry later to tell him to not let Kevin give him too much trouble.
And months later, when Henry gets into a car crash, David will regrettably think of Kayleigh.
David isn't Kevin's parent, and is absolutely not his father. But he'll try his damn best to coax his son through the scare of almost losing his boyfriend. All the things David thought about--if Henry was good enough, if Henry would be good to Kevin--don't matter anymore. As long as Henry does not become Kayleigh, they'll be ok.
And David will help Kevin drive Henry out of the hospital the day he is checked out.
