Summary: Bucky talks to his eight-year-old daughter about her day, when he finds out tomorrow is Career Day at school, and she hasn’t asked him to come with her. Her reasoning why isn’t what Bucky expects.

A/N: I’ve had this fic in my head for quite a while now and figured it was time to get it out. Hope you like it! (P.S. I know everyone names their daughters with Bucky something super traditional and Christian, but I’m Jewish, and particularly liked the name Tali. Pronounced Tah-Lee.)
Tali runs to Bucky, light brown hair flying, slamming into him as she goes in for a hug. He stumbles back a couple steps from her force, your daughter getting stronger every day, thanks to her father’s genes. Reaching around her, he sweeps the child off her feet, right into his arms. She lets out a giggle, pure music to Bucky’s ears.
“Hey, princess.” He smiles, kissing her on the cheek. He can’t help but be pulled in by her large green eyes, a feature all too similar to your own. “How was school today?”
“Great, daddy!” Tali exclaims, as he puts her back down. “We learned multickplication today!”
“That’s great, pumpkin.” Bucky smiles at her slipup, seating himself on the couch in your living room. He reaches for the girl’s open schoolbag, grabbing it by the handle. “Let’s take a look at your homework, okay, sweetie? Your mom’s gonna get awful mad at us if we forget to do it again.”
As Bucky sorts through Tali’s backpack, looking for her homework, a brightly colored piece of paper catches his attention. Pulling it out, it reads:
