one thing I don't understand is why feminine and masculine is attached to gender in the first place (ahem patriarchy). It being a buzzword on social media, such as people saying "find a man who will put you in your soft life feminine energy and take you out of your masculine energy", as though being in either masculine energy is the wrong state to be in as a woman. Masculine/feminine energy as far as I know comes from the concept of yin and yang but there is no mention of gender and that is pretty much specified. This recently introduced concept of "feminine energy" or "soft life" being attached to gender, more specifically gender roles, is not only a recession indicator (in my opinion) but a mere product of modern capitalism.

I actually love the fact that every time Jane and Maura disagree on something (Maura wanting to go somewhere/do something) and Jane not wanting to do it basically gets an Oh Yeah? Scene and immediately cuts to a defeated Jane at the place/doing the thing she said she wouldn't.
