almost makes me wanna write a fanfic like this:

albedo is going mad as an artist, drawing more and more portraits of the same person who is stuck in his head. they've never seen this person but its the only thing albedo can manage to draw. there are so many rumors about this person -- are they a lover? a friend? male or female (it's very hard to tell in albedo's art)? people assume that this person must be very dear to albedo to feature in so many of their art pieces .

one day he sees that person in the street (or maybe a coffee shop or an art exhibition or in a park, really they just need to meet). and albedo knows that this is them. he does whatever he can to figure this person out and make sure they can meet again so albedo can continue to draw him. they learn his muse's name is kaeya alberich.

they meet multiple times and slowly learn more about each other -- they're both refugees from khaenri'ah, uncertain about the status of their parents. they both have siblings which they take care of. kaeya is an actor, albedo is a painter.

eventually, kaeya asks to see albedo's studio. and when he arrives, he sees albedo in front of a large portrait of him in some costume, with immaculate attention to detail.
