I find it really sad when you have a realisation that people you once held very dear to you, you no longer speak to. Suddenly it occurs to you that a friend group that once seemed so solid, full of life, people you shared everything with, spoke to every day, is just dead. 

This whole tumblr is just evidence of a life I no longer live. The friends I had, no longer even acquaintances. We don’t know each other anymore. My memory is so bad I can’t remember if I did something, or if we just drifted apart.

If that is just COVID-19 specifically, the number may be much higher in terms of how many people have died indirect relation to the pandemic.

That number, as I understand it, only counts Covid-19 related deaths in hospitals. If you died of Covid-19 at home, or didn’t go to the hospital to seek help… not included in the tally. So yeah, our death toll is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what’s being reported.
