Hello helloooo! Just started learning to crochet myself and nail art anon inspired me to send an ask for something similar but with crochet!! Seems dandy (and since you already crochet I wanted to see how itâd be explained.. this stuff is confusingđ). With Aonung or Nete, either is fine!!
i did my very best with the explanations đđ
i've been crocheting for a few years so you would think i would at least be an okay teacher lol
"Okay okay. Here, watch again." You slowly wrapped the yarn around two fingers. "See how it makes an 'x' shape on the front of the fingers but it looks like two parallel lines on the back of them?"
Aonung squinted in concentration.
"Now you take your hook." You grabbed your crochet hook. "And go under the first line and grab the second one, and pull it under. Then you remove your fingers and pull both ends until the loop is snug around the hook andâ" you do just as you explained. " tada! first step complete."
He stared at the knot around your hook for a bit before gathering the mess of yarn from his failed first attempt, and tried to copy your demonstration.
"'x' shapeâŚ.pull underâŚpull ends.." he narrated absenmindedly. When he achieved the knot, his eyes widened slightly, pride glimmering in them.
You gasped and clapped. "Good job!"
A light dusting of purple painted the tips of his ears as he cleared his throat. "I still do not see the point of this. It is much easier to do it the na'vi way. With your hands. Not with this hook thing." He waves the crochet hook you had lent him around.
"It would probably be easier if the hook wasn't so small in your hands."
He grunted, "I doubt that will make much of a difference."
"It will." You shot him a mock reprimanding look. " And to answer your question: it's fun."
"Our way is better."
"Maybe it is, but I like crocheting."
"You have odd taste."
"Perhaps." You shrugged. "Now let's continue."
And despite his earlier jabs, he did not argue and wrapped the yarn around his hand as you had shown him.
"Okay. Now let's make a chain" you focused back on your yarn. "Now, with the yarn wrapped around your hand and your hook knotted, you go under the yarn to grab it then turn the hook so it is facing downwards and pull through the knot." You performed each step slowly so Ao'nung can keep up. The crease between his brow endearing as he focused on your motions.
His nose scrunched. "It does not look like yours."
You inspected his work and adjusted the tautness of the yarn around his fingers so it was not too loose. "Try to keep your hands loose. You don't want it too tight or too slack."
"I am trying."
You smile." I know. " Practice makes perfect."
You both practice making chains for a bit until he got the hang of it.
"Perfect," you said, "now onto the single crochet. You go to the second chain from the hook." You point to the chain. " Insert your hook through it and grab the yarn and pull through the chain. Now you should have two loops on your hookâyes perfectânow grab the yarn again and pull through both loops."
A few days after that lesson, Ao'nung found you where you lounged on a warm rock near the shore, soaking in the ocean air. his shadow fell over you, catching your attention and you peeled your eyes open.
"Hey, what's up?"
Instead of answering he held out a decently sized blanket, made of soft blue dyed fibres. Wordlessly, you grabbed it, fingers feeling over the crocheted pattern of the yarn.
"Ao'nung.." you whispered in awe.
"It is simple, I know." He did not look at you, instead choosing to stare out into the horizon. "I could make a better one, the na'vi way."
Your hands clenched onto the blanket. "But you didn't do that. You chose to crochet instead"
He still looked away, but the blush creeping up on his cheeks was answer enough.
"Thank you, Ao'nung."
He glanced at you out of the corner of his eye. He said nothing still, only watching the way you held onto the blanket with special care.
the fawnitte person is SO pissed its making me cackle i suspect they've been making more accounts/alts to defend their name to others... on their a03 they recently just uploaded a new fic (on 10th of august) with neteyam x jake x neytiri to piss off the 'anti's'... they're so pissed off im giggling đ¤ mad you got banned??

The air encased within the small metallic room was high in the clean chemical scent of acetone, pleasant in that way of familiarity of persistent use.
You sat on the carpeted floor of your bedroom, hands steady as you applied the clear top coat. You held your hands out admiring the designs that took way too long for you to complete when the wir of your bedroom door sounded, as it opened to reveal a tall strapping na'vi who waltzed in without even the thought of knocking despite the "i'm busy" sign you had taped on the outside so no one would disturb you while you painted your nails.
Neteyam's eyes scanned the room for half a second before falling on your figure sitting plushly on the soft carpet.
"You did not visit today." He crouched down to meet you eye to eye.
"Well if you'd read the sign, you'd know I was busy."
He tilted his head. "With what? And what is that scent?"
You held your freshly painted hands up to him. "Nail polish. I just did my nails, look."
He wrapped his long slender fingers around your wrists, bringing them closer to get a good look. With half-lidded eyes, he carefully traced the painted lines and spots, immediately recognising what they were.
His rubbed your wrist. "You did this?" His voice developed a husky quality suddenly.
You nodded, a proud smile on you face. "Mmhm. Took me two hours but I think it came out pretty cute, right?. And look, we match!" You wiggled your fingers, showcasing the painted na'vi patterns on your nails.
It was the you saw the way his eyes darkened, and how his tail slithered languidly behind him and how his ears flickered as if he was rolling an idea around in his mind.
It then clicked.
You eyes traveled downwards, catching on the slight strain in his tewng(loincloth). You looked up at his face which was still fixated on your nails, carefully peeling one of your hands from his grip and slowly reaching down. The tips of your nails lightly scraped the fabric separating his cock from the world. His eyes closed at the sensation, a deep hum leaving him.
You rubbed his front with ghostly pressure, letting him feel your touch but not giving him enough to enjoy it completely.
"You like it?" You asked, voice quiet in the building tension.
He looked at you then, pupils exploded in pleasure and admiration.
"Very much."
You moved to the strings on the tewng, pulling on one end, watching as the knot gave way. And when the fabric fell to the ground, his dick stood proudly, now free from confinement.
Not wanting to wait any longer, you wrapped a hand around him, careful not to smudge the still drying polish. he hissed at the feel of your palm as you dragged your closed hand along him, keeping the pressure firm.
Small beads of wetness dribbled from the tip at your motions, leaking down onto your hand, and across your knuckles. You licked your lips, wanting to taste him, but you waited. Instead, you released him, and a whine of displeasure left his lips. You dragged the tip of your nail along a prominent vein from base to tip, watching how he shivered. Your thumb then swiped over the leaking hole, his dick twitching as you did.
"Yawne(beloved).." he panted.
You leaned into his lips, mouth moving against his as you spoke. "What do you want, neteyam?"
His lashed fluttered, "I want you to touch me."
"But I am"
He groaned, "Yawne pleaseâŚ"
You smiled taking mercy on him and wrapping your hand around him again, your hold tighter around him. You jerked him with careful strokes that built with speed as each second went by.
The sounds that left his mouth made your stomach clench. Every sigh, groan and moan made you wetter. The scrunched look on his face as he concentrated on the way your nails looked wrapped around him was almost enough to make you cum in your pants, untouched. The heat and friction between you two was entrancing. You wrapped your other hand around him, now stroking him with both. Your fingers could barely wrap fully around him from his sheer size.
You bit your lip when more precum left him. Unable to help yourself you leaned down, sticking your tongue out and lapping at his head.
"Hnng!" Neteyam groaned, head falling back.
You licked up the leaking liquid before wrapping your lips around him, sucking lightly on his head. You were practically making out with his tip while you stroked him off.
The feel of your warm mouth and skilled hands and the way your nails looked around him made the ball of pleasure in Neteyam's lower stomach tighten. His large hands went to your head, holding onto you as he started to thrust shallowly into your mouth.
The grunts he let out made you suck harder which encouraged him to thrust his hips faster. The muffled sounds you let out vibrated along his length and was enough to drive him over the edge.
You pulled your head back and covered his tip with your hand as he came. He thrusted into your hands, his muscles pulled taunt as he released.
With a sigh, he looked down at your sullied hands, dripping with thick cum.
Suddenly you pouted inspecting your nails.
"I think you smudged it."

Many thought that having children would mellow you and Jake out.
Many were wrong.
The kids had grown too quickly before your eyes. Babbling babies that cried at every instance soon turned into running, screaming toddlers that swung from branches and vines. They were rowdy, aggressive little terrors that occasionally bit. If anyone were to ask where they got their behavior from, all fingers would point at you two.
The forest was mellow in the afternoon, nothing but the buzzing of atrociously big, but mostly harmless, bugs. The cool breeze felt nice on your skin, the sun peering through the leaves felt comforting and the grass beneath your feet was as soft as a bed of feathers.
You and Jake were on babysitting duty while your mates were off on a well-deserved break from the kids ( and you both).
Neteyam and Tsaya, already 7, were leaping from branch to branch overhead with a 6-year-old Lo'ak following not too far behind. Kiri stayed near, curling up on the grass of the clearing and enjoying a midday nap.
Everything was peaceful.
Until someone skreeched.
"SA'NU!!"(mom)
You bolted up, sprinting to where the voice called, climbing through the branches where the boys had marked as their domain.
You found Tsaya, clutching his finger, an angry pout on his lips as he glared at Lo'ak, who was unfazed and simply sticking his tongue out at him. You sighed, shoulders shedding the tension from before.
"Sa'nu!" Tsaya called out once he spotted you, "Lo'ak bit me!"
You crouched in front of him, silently urging him to give you his hand. On his index finger was a perfect ring of tiny indents. His skin was intact, if only just purple from the bite.
You shook your head, "Come on you three, back we go"
They groaned as you led them back to the clearing where a now awake Kiri was sitting up with her arms crossed, clearly very irritated at being woken up. Jake immediately darted from kid to kid, inspecting them for lacerations or broken bones. Tsaya practically shoved the injured finger in Jake's face. The man blinked when he saw the offending injury, already knowing the culprit.
"Lo'ak..." Jake scolded, "what did we say about biting?"
Lo'ak immediately puffed up. "It's his fault! He was teasing me and waving his finger in my face. He said I was too small to climb, but I'm not! I climb just as good as them!"
"Lo'ak, you're not supposed to bite people," you said.
"But you bit dad yesterday," he argued.
You stilled. The memory came instantly.
Yesterday, at the stream, while the kids were bathing, you and Jake were skipping stones. And like everything you both did, it turned into a brawl. What was supposed to be a friendly competition turned into a heinous wrestling match with you wrapping yourself around the man like a viper and digging your teeth into his shoulder as you accused him of cheating. Jake had yelled louder than you have ever heard, but he did not yield, claiming you were a crazy bitch and rambling about how it's impossible to cheat at stone skipping.
You had broken skin.
It ended with you both being separated by your mates and essentially put in time-outs in your respective homes for the rest of the day.
Tsu'tey was not happy with you the rest of the day, hence the impromptu break.
Your mouth stayed clamped, mind blank at what to tell the child. The hypocrisy was clear as day to all.
Jake snorted, "Well, you've gotta be better than your aunt. She's a feral animal, son. She has no decency."
You worked your jaw, sending him a cutting side-eye, which he pointedly ignored. The kids nodded at Jake's words, taking it as the most obvious thing in the world. Not even your own son defended you..
Eventually they forgot about their fight and went back to play until the sun had been swallowed by the horizon and it was time to return home. Your mates were already in the sully's kelku, dinner hot off the fire.
"You both set such bad examples," Neytiri had said.
The kids had tuckered themselves out, already in their hammocks while you were outside, telling the bite story to your mates.
"What?" Jake reared his head back in offence, "Me??? I was the one viciously attacked."
"I know you, ma' Jake. I am sure you said something to encourage her anger."
The smile you sent Jake's way at Neytiri's words made him shiver.
"This is victim blaming. I am a victim!"
"Victim of your parents' genes, yeah," you mumbled.
He turned his head eerily slow. "You. Are. The most insufferable person to ever exist."
"Takes one to know one."
"Are you a child??"
"I don't know. Are you?"
Little did you all know, the kids had woken up at your bickering, giggling to themselves with every comeback you threw at each other, only falling back asleep when you all had turned in for the night.
"Aunt!!"
Kiri came running in, steam practically coming out of her ears.
"Tsaya broke my toy."
She held out a broken ikran figurine with a broken neck. You took the decapitated head and body and held it together to see if it was splintered. From the corner of your eye, you can see three heads peeking into the kelku, one being your son.
"Tsaya," you call," come apologise to Kiri, please."
The boy came in pouting, hands guilty clasped in front of him. He murmured under his breath.
"What was that? I don't think Kiri heard you."
"Sorry, KiriâŚit was an accident. "
Said girl hmphed, chin turned up. They both stood in silence for a bit before she turned to you. "Can you fix it?"
You nodded.
She turned back to Tsaya. "Fine, I forgive you."
The kids then scurried off again and you went to dig through a trunk to find some glue. When you came up empty, you took a short trip to the sully kelku.
"Jake," you called out, "I need glue.
"No," he said not looking up from where he was playing with a 3 year old Tuk.
"Asshole. I need to fix Kiri's toy."
"Liar. You're just here to steal my stuff. Kiri would have asked me to fix her toy."
"Yeah, right," you laughed, "woodworking isn't your strong suit."
"I made so many toys for the kids."
"And they all suck, which is why they only use the ones Neytiri made. Now where do you keep the glue?"
"Left trunk." He finally said, looking at the broken figure in your hands. "She really went to you?"
"Yep." You rifled through the trunk, pulling out a jar of natural glue.
"That kind of hurts my feelings"
"Sorry your children like me more. It's a tough pill to swallow, I know." You slathered a bit of the adhesive on the broken ends.
"No, it hurts because you're no better than me."
It was then the kids came running in, huffing and laughing with each other. They sent short greetings your way as they all surrounded Tuk, who was very happy with the attention.
"Hi sweethearts," you greeted before turning back to Jake. "That's not true at all. You should stop lying to yourself."
"Oh yeah? Well, let's just ask them."
"Need validation from children now, Jake?"
"That is not what is happening."
"Kinda seems like it."
The kids had already been watching you two argue.
"Look, tuk tuk." Kiri pointed at you both. "They're fighting again."
Tuk laughed, "Fight! Fight!"
"Tuk," Neteyam tried to stop her but he was already laughing, which egged her on.
"Fight! Fight!"
Lo'ak and Tsaya soon joined in and it was not long until all of them started chanting. Hearing this, you and Jake immediately shut up, staring at each other for a moment before looking away in shame.
"Are we bad parents?" you mumbled, head down, looking at the toy.
"Let's not think about that right now.."
"yo, bro! ready?"
Neteyam, 15 now, was at the edge of the training grounds in the early morning, carved bow in hand as Tsaya and Lo'ak walked towards him. Neteyam had raised his finger to shush Tsaya, his head nodding to where you stood by the shooting range, your arrow missing the painted target and instead seeding into the tree's trunk.
Tsaya spotted you and raised his hand and called out, "Oh. sa'nâ"
Lo'ak clapped a hand over his mouth. "Wait." Then he pointed to the figure approaching you.
Jake sauntered up with that typical shit-eating grin he wore whenever he caught you at a low moment. He said something the boys couldn't hear, but it was obviously snarky as he pointed at the embedded arrow.
You scoffed, yanking it free, your building anger written plainly in your movements.
He continued talking, mischievous smile growing with every word as he followed you back to the starting point.
Your voice rose slightly as you turned to him, something between a yell and a stern hiss, before marching off, but not without stinging him with your tail's end first.
"Bet you she's gonna tackle him," Lo'ak said.
"That's a given," Neteyam added
Tsaya thought for a moment, "I bet it's going to happen by lunchtime."
"I say afternoon. She seems to be holding back today," Neteyam said.
"Ha, skxawngs(idiots)" Lo'ak laughed. "They will be at each other's throats in less than 3 hours. Losers have to do all the winner's chores for the next month."
"One week only."
Lo'ak groaned, rolling his eyes, "Fine. deal"
The boys didn't spend much time training after that, deciding it was a better use of their time to follow you both around to see when the inevitable attack would occur. They stealthily peeked around corners, watching as you both walked side by side through the crowd.
"Maybe I should start giving you lessons," they heard Jake say.
"Maybe you should start leaving me alone." Your words came out quick.
"Nah, you'd miss me too much."
"Wrong."
"Ouch." He mockingly held his hands over his heart as if he was shot. "Don't be so bitter. You need brushing up in your bow skills, so what?" His words would sound at least half comforting if his shoulders weren't trembling in laughter.
He laughed when you shoved him away with one hand.
"What are you skxawngs(idiots) doing?"
All three boys jumped before turning to see Kiri looking at them with crossed arms and admonishing eyes. Tuk was with her, wide eyes waiting for an answer.
"We're trying to see when those two are going to fight it out. We made bets," Lo'ak explained.
"What's the prize?"
"Losers do the winner's chores for a week"
Kiri leaned past them, watching as you snarled at her father. "I give it two hours."
Tuk bounced on her feet." Me too!"
"Tuk, you don't even have chores," Tsaya reminded her. The little girl just shrugged.
For the next hour, they followed you both around as you moved from the training grounds to the lab and then back home, where you were perched outside the sully kelku sharpening hunting spears while Jake was leaning against the opening, carving something from a wood block.
"They're not even doing anything," Tsaya whispered.
"Have they finally decided to grow up?" Neteyam questioned.
"Impossible." Lo'ak shook his head.
"They definitely got in trouble for something earlier," Kiri said
"Makes sense. That's the only explanation for why they're so subdued," Tsaya hummed.
"Sa'nu and uncle Tsu'tey scolded them this morning." Tuk supplied.
"For what?" Lo'ak prodded.
Tuk shrugged.
"Obviously, they did something stupid." Kiri rolled her eyes. Lo'ak shushed her when you spoke.
"You know, you could at least help." You glanced at Jake.
"Hmm. I think you've got it handled."
"You're such a bum."
That was it.
It was nearing the two hour mark when the kids then followed you to the stream, where you and Jake stood on the bank, heaving the spears at fish. You two had been questionably quiet.
"Are you serious? Nothing?" Lo'ak's disbelief was felt throughout the group.
Tsaya laughed. "You guys made your bets too early." he pointed at Kiri and Lo'ak. "Get ready to do my chores, losers."
"Man, this sucks.." Lo'ak grumbled, but he refused to give up. "It hasn't even been that long. Anything could happen."
Neteyam patted him on the shoulder. "Take the loss, baby bro."
"It's not even my loss. It's Kiri's! I still have an hour to go."
"You guys are ridiculous," Kiri murmured.
"Don't be a sore loser, Kiri."
Back at the stream, you turned to Jake. "Why are the kids following us?"
He shrugged, throwing his spear, narrowly missing a large fish. "no clue."
"They probably came to watch you miss every shot."
"Like you did back at the shooting range?"
"Shut up."
"Awe, did I hurt your feelings?" he mockingly pouted.
"You're on thin ice, Sully." Your eyes narrowed before turning the spear in your hand and chucking it at a large red fish.
You missed, hitting a rock instead
"Don'tâ"you tried to warn but Jake wasted no time throwing his head back and laughing at you.
You tackled him. The resulting splash of you both falling into the water stopped the kids' bickering. They turned towards the sound, looking at the scene in bewilderment.
