My mother in law sent me some tranquility cards and said she used to look at them daily. So I am following her tradition and every morning I pull out a new one and place it on the shelf so I can look at it throughout the day. I thought I would share the card I pulled out this morning. There is so much truth in this. Life goes too fast so make sure you're spending some time for "you". Reconnect with your heart and soul. Slow down and enjoy life and the world around you. Yes!! My biggest problem is procrastination! I have come to reaslise the only way to move forward is to "just do it". Endometriosis - Let's talk more!
So after a long and frustrating road, I went in for a laparoscopy yesterday and they found endometriosis around my uterus, bladder and bowel. No surprises really.. I was 99% sure they were going to find stuff in there! I want to share my story because I feel too many females suffer in silence. We get prodded and poked at trying to find out what's wrong with us but too often we're left without any answers and feeling helpless. It's easy to start feeling like it's all in your head and that people think you're just a hypochondriac. It's funny though, the more you talk to people the more you realise how many girls are suffering from endo or other gynaecological issues. It really frustrates me that there is no cure for endo and the only real treatment is by burning ones insides! Sounds like so much fun doesn't it! What frustrates me even more is I was told I had PCOS, then told by a different doctor, no you don't, then a third doctor told me yes you do! Thankfully I trust the third doctor as PCOS is something she has spent a lot of time researching. It was also her that suggested a laparoscopy might be worth it too. Hooray!! Finally a doctor that listens and wants to help! It's taken me years to get answers, I mean years!! So ladies please don't give up, get a second opinion, a third opinion and keep going until you have answers. The reality is doctors are humans, and some will be better than others in certain areas. Search for one that specialises in female issues. Just don't give up! You know your body better than anyone. So for me, I'm feeling much better now I have answers as to why I have been getting so much pain and why I've been feeling so off all the time. I want to urge my fellow females to talk about it. It's incredible (but also a little scary) how many women suffer similar issues. Talk about it, spread awareness, whatever you do just don't sit in silence!
