“Yeah. She was tight with the wolves. That and she’s my older brother and sister’s cousin.”

“She doesn’t talk about the other werewolves a lot so I’m not surprised she didn’t mention her.”

“Yeah Kaylie did kinda vanish out of nowhere, I’m not too surprised.”

“Oh. Kaylie never told me about her.”

“Rylie is new. So you probably haven’t heard of her.”

“She’s wonderful. Has there always been other queens in this town?”

“Well there’s Mae and my mom. Now Rylie I guess, she’s queen of the wolves.”

“The only queen I know is Mae, the fairy queen. And my sister. She acts like a queen.”

“I’ve met Mae. She’s a nice lady.”

“…Actually, I don’t know the demon queen. But that sounds like an important job.”

“Oh. Most people know her for one reason or another. Yeah, it’s important enough I guess.”

“What kind of job makes you run around in the dark?”

“You know the demon queen? That’s my mom. Gotta protect her on night runs.”

“Let’’s just say doing your job in the dark has it’s disadvantages.”

“How did you run into a wall?”

“It’s a long story.”

“Are you sure? That’s not normal.”

“Nah, it’s fine. I’ve had worse. I ran in to a wall a couple weeks ago. Much worse.”

“What about you? Sure you’re going to be okay?”

“Eh, a little headache. But I can walk it off.”

“Okay, that’s good.”

“You’re the one who fell to the ground, not me.”

“I still rammed in to you pretty hard though.”

“I’m okay. I’m pretty tough.”

“You sure? I still feel bad.”
