Hey so uh… kids/teens are allowed to have complex emotions and identities! They’re learning about the world and themselves and saying that “oh kids/teens shouldn’t think about that…” or “kids/teens don’t know anything about themselves!” Is fucking stupid!

Kids/teens are allowed to have their phases of things as are adults! Kids/teens are allowed to say “oh I identify as this!” And change it later because they don’t feel connected to it anymore! They’re allowed to say “oh I feel like this” and they are allowed to experience that complex emotion without being shit on!

No kids/teens are naive little things that shouldn’t know about this and that! Ofcourse young YOUNG kids shouldn’t necessarily know about certain things until they’re older but if they find out about it you shouldn’t explain it in a way that seems like you’re belittling them and you should explain it appropriately, not run in circles around the subject. Kids/teens understand a lot more than you think! Yes they could be incorrect about things but you can easily correct them APPROPRIATELY!

Im sick of beings treating kids/teens like they’re these naive and stupid little things. When I was a hatchling I was very much treat like I was dumb by a lot of people around me (aside my mother she’s always treated me age appropriately and explained things in the most mature and understanding way she can). I see it more heavily with beings who have disorders like autism or adhd. No we’re not dumb and we don’t need you to treat us like we’re kids. Yes we may need things explained differently, but we don’t need the babied version.

The youth of today is treated like we’re snowflakes, like we’re fucking stupid. We’re not. We understand ALOT and due to the way society as a whole is heading we kinda have to know about certain things. So for the love of whatever you believe in, don’t treat the youth like they’re dumb or treat them like they’re all babies. Treat them age appropriately. Treat a teen like a teen, treat a child like a child. They’re not burdens for wanting to know things about the world and themselves.

Even if a young being has a phase, don’t shit on them for it. They’re learning the same way older beings do.

I woke up at 5:30 AM, made my bed, had a coffee and then MANAGED TO DO 50 MINUTES OF WORK at 6AM IN THE MORNING

I've never been this productive in my life ( the only downside is that I'm suffering from mystery virus/ ear infection but we're fine)

Also I hate the human standards of productivity because this ( today) has only happened ONCE in my entire life and yet this is expected from people everyday??

Also to note on the tumblr/ insta/ tik tok difference ( and to not get into discourse too much) I feel like the therian community on tik tok especially is so algorithm focused ( like everyone on there is) which makes it really unpleasant in my opinion because instead of hearing people's genuine struggles and experiences with this kind of identity you get ' oh look at this mask I made' or 57 versions of a trending audio/ jump ( I'm not saying that's bad, it's just not in my personal taste) and I feel as if short form video content has become so attention grabbing its sort of ruined itself, anyway it also adds to all the misinformation spread, and as someone who likes to research ANYTHING before making opinions, this just upsets me as we tend to get dramatized and stigmatized and the whole situation is awful- I don't like getting negative about it but I think it needs to be addressed.

This is just my little reminder to explore the perspective of communities before judging and hating and also I ♡ tumblr

I love tumblr, mostly because this is the slowest media platform I've been on for a while, there's no trend after trend ( or at least less of it) like tiktok or Instagram and it feels so genuine being here and I'm so grateful for my audience and I just want everyone that follows me or is mutuals with me to know that I notice them and truly am happy that I've found my community <3

I think I'm an aquatic creature..

There's three possibles (all very different ik)

1. Catfish (specifically armoured catfish)

2. Seal? ( I was watching them and I got super like nose? Shifty, I can feel myself using my snout? Like a seal would)

3. Mermaid/siren ( this one isn't as prominent as I don't already feel super connected to a human body + the idea of that having a fish tail etc. Just doesn't feel right)

Oh and also I'm a canine cladotherian!

( I think.. still experimenting with terminology)
