What an incredible honor to be surrounded by such talented creatives in a celebration of queer life, love, and perseverance 🩵🩵🩵

I settled on a triptych design with the left and right panels depicting each man’s ’death’ (Afghanistan and Reichenbach Falls respectively) and a sort of ‘revival’ in the center as they finally come together. Of course the retirement cottage and plenty of Victorian flower language is included as well.

I hope y’all got your copies and enjoy! Thank you again for the chance to contribute to this fantastic project 🩵🏳️‍🌈🏡

Just as someone who's finally picking it back up, I got two questions.

Whose your favorite ship?

And you ship Griffin x Bruno?

Bc I've been seeing some stuff floating around.

Discussion: So big question do you guys like Griffin?

I haven't watched the newer episodes of svu as I have been busy with uni. The workload I get isn't too kind to me, plus the only way I can watch svu is on streaming (specifically peacock premium) as my school blocks any pirating sites.

So that's why I ask:

Is Griffin a good character? I have seen the bts or promotional material with the actor being there. So it makes me believe that he'll be a permanent regular, however I've been seeing discourse that they think he'll only be in this season. If he is just for this season I'm kinda sad because I think the character has potential. He's a rookie/rouge archetype that written well can be interesting as hes different from the team. After all, we've had many characters come and go over the seasons that filled this role (this part does makes sense for him possibly leaving) however, it would be a nice change for one of these character staying.

Though the points I have seen being made about Griffin not being a good character:

Annoying in the way of constantly being a rouge and not great asset to the team.

Too much action compared to already established characters

Too much push of backstory

The actor's Broadway career

Him being a rat

Some of these points are reasonable. Why does a rookie ( a fresh character) get more backstory and action than established characters that been on the show for 2+ years? Since most point out Velesco getting snubbed out of backstory even though he's been on the show more than a season.

However, I don't like that people saying Griffin is a bad character because he is a rat and a rookie. Of course you're not going to like those aspects as a character because he doesn't fit in with team or actively goes against the team. Rookies have to learn the ropes and it doesn't happen over a few episodes. A person who entire career is on relying themselves won't magically exactly be buddy-buddy with others when he thrust into a new position. Plus, a character who is a rat doesn't automatically mean they're not redeemable. Griffin may be going on dinners with the new chief but that doesn't mean he's telling her anything. Or he was telling her at the beginning but as the team slowly integrates griffin, he starts questioning the intentions of his actions. There's many ways to spin his story. He could be the bad guy and he could not be. We won't know unless we give him time to.

That's why I want to know your opinion. My opinion is based on the few episodes of S27 with a sprinkle of the fandom. So, I wanted to know what others think so I can know what happens to his character.
