Today is world refugee day. As always we celebrate the resilience of refugees globally but today also magnifies how much black and brown bodies are under attack. As always children are the most vulnerable and instead of being protected, they are being used as a political tool to further white supremacist agendas. After all of the public outrage, the decision was made to keep families together at the border because of the collective voices of the people. These Systems only exist because people believe in them and CHOOSE to implement them. There are actual humans who wake up everyday and make the CHOICE to separate children from their parents, put them in CAGES and then say they’re just “doing their job”. We are all born with free will and we must protect each other and speak up for one another in real life as well as online. Let’s transmute our outrage into loving and protecting our communities and neighbors. The power is and has always been within all of us - not these “Governments”. Sending powerful love and healing to all the families who will hopefully be reunited soon.🧡👁🙏🏾 #worldrefugeeday #immigration #wearetheoneswevebeenwaitingfor
