‘There was a lot of talk after the Euros that Keira Walsh would leave City for Barca and eventually that happened.

‘Keira had been with City her whole life. Going abroad to play makes you understand far better just how hard it is for foreign players when they come to the English league and that is something I would say to anyone thinking of making the move.

‘I also know I came here to improve as a player. Keira’s dream – after playing for City of course – was to play at Barcelona and she grew up watching both of those teams play with her dad.

‘It’s not always easy going to play in a foreign country and everyone struggles at some stage, usually at the beginning, but in the end it does all come together.

‘If you picked out an English player that fits Barca, you would go for Keira.’
