Various organizations have reached out to National Geographic and expressed their concern about ‘Diggers’. While they can’t stop the airing of the show (it premiered last night) it has opened up a dialogue that will hopefully lead to something positive. Lots of reports are coming in from people who watched the show to see just how bad it was and things went pretty much exactly as expected. 

Several people have reported that they have gotten a direct response from Sam Adams, one of the advertising sponsors for the network, and they have not only explained their position (they purchase blocks of advertising time on many channels and have no control over when their ads air or during what shows the ads will appear) and they have sent the protests up to their advertising department for review. Cheers to that!

SpikeTV has not premiered ‘American Diggers’ yet, so every call, email and tweet is important!
