hi juror number two my beloved mmmWAH iām doing a lot better than i have been in recent months, iām free and readjusted lol
i have an almost full fledged concept/outline for a cassie mckay (gasp) fic that iāve been thinking about for MONTHS but just recently started actively working on. iāve gone through my old university notes and journal archives (that my university still hasnāt removed my access for somehow) to get the medical stuff more accurate. never have i ever been in a fandom where my degree is somewhat useful itās AWESOME even if my search history looks absolutely criminal lmao
but anyways. i need to fully rewatch s2 of the pitt now that itās complete to really solidify my thoughts on s2 since theyāre kind of all over the place. but here are some gumbled quick thoughts on some characters:
iām a little upset we didnāt even minorly go back to santos being in active sh relapse. that topic is deeply personal to me and i see a lot of myself in santos, so i feel like my disappointment is more biased. sheās on a similar path as robby, just quiet about it.
iām deeply sad about supriya ganesh leaving the show, mohan is such a great character and doctor and supriya has played her so beautifully. my baby samira didnāt even get a real send off :( this show hates to see an r4 linger (i miss collins so much bro) idgaf about ārealismā if it means losing such well written and unfinished characters.
whittaker. get out of that womanās truck or so help me god the poor boy doesnāt know heās playing the part of a dead man.
iām glad langdon is on his recovery journey with an emphasis on himself rather than searching for robbyās approval. the start of the season/day he is making his amends because āhe has toā not because he feels it, and he especially āhas toā with robby. but realizing robby canāt/wonāt really listen and him being in such a bad way, i think langdon will continue his recovery with a better sense of direction for himself and not depend on the approval of others as heavily
cassie wants to get laid? iām here with open arms. and open legs. and an open mouth. šø (also fionaās innate dyke energy is too strong i will never believe that mckay isnāt gay)
baran al-hashimi LEMME HIT PLEASE PLEASE PLEAS- i mean. sheās incredibly compassionate and intentional, seems like a great teacher, her medical knowledge is insane but we know little about her medical skills because of her seizures. i knew she was having those absence seizures the moment she called her neurologist after just blanking at baby jane doe. robby treated her like garbage and i get his concern about her condition, but his level of outburst is not justified, especially in a Not At All Private Or Sound Proof Room. but weāll get to you in a second sir. anyways ai is the only point she has against her in my book

michael robinavitch. donāt talk to me. i donāt care how burnout or depressed you are. taking frustration out on others, especially your EMPLOYEES, is fucking insane. he is consistently more demeaning to women, even more so to women of color. if heās not yelling at a woman, heās about ten seconds from crying while woefully looking around at the ED and shaking his head saying āiiii donāt know.ā heās so clearly reaching out for help but rejecting it at every turn, and i very much understand that, but christ all mighty. robby belittles langdon for his addiction even as heās in recovery, makes digs at mohan for her work style, acts likes heās a more capable doctor than al-hashimi before he even knows about her condition (āwhy are you treating me like iām a resident?ā). robby isnāt just pushing people away or isolating, heās breaking a piece of their self worth with every conversation.

as for season 3, i would love to see more non-clinical positions highlighted because TRUST ME that clinical staff are crazy dependent on them. i LOVED the tiny bit of street team medicine we got, so iād love some semblance of that again. again, i want/need a follow up on santos, itās been lingering in my mind. what style bangs will cassie have this time? weāve had straight bangs and side bangs. curtain? baby? micro? full side split like early 2000s scene style? bowl cut? worldās your oyster. robby on a shrinkās couch, STAT. i want to see mel become more sure of herself and outwardly confident in her skill. i hope her hanging out with santos kinda rubs off on her (computahā¦) MORE TRAUMA SURGERIES ugh theyāre so fucking cool to me. the environment and pace tickles my brain.
