When Palestinians in Gaza say that the winter and the storm is killing them, they mean storms collapsing bomb-damaged buildings, they mean children dying from extreme cold, they mean the winter is killing them literally. Yesterday, my friend Tamer told me how he and his father were walking in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, near the telecom junction, when an elderly man suddenly collapsed in front of them.

People rushed to help. When they managed to wake him, he said faintly, “I haven’t eaten in three days.”

They placed him on a donkey cart to take him to the hospital, but he didn’t make it. He passed away on the way. This is not an isolated incident — it’s a daily reality in Gaza.

For over two months now, Israel has blocked the entry of food, medicine, and all essential supplies.Markets are empty, and whatever remains is sold at impossible prices.

People are not just hungry; they are starving, struggling to survive.

That’s why I’ve been continuing my ongoing campaign to support my family.
