“Once upon a time there lived a lovely little princess named Snow White. Her vain and wicked stepmother the Queen feared that some day Snow White’s beauty would surpass her own. So she dressed the little Princess in rags and forced her to work as a Scullery Maid. Each day the vain Queen consulted her Magic Mirror, ’Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?’ and as long as the Mirror answered, ’You are the fairest one of all, ’Snow White was safe from the Queen’s cruel jealousy.”

Snow White introducing a segment for The Cookie Carnival. Prior to Tiana's induction into the Disney Princess line, Snow White was the chef of the franchise, as it's her proficiency in baking that ultimately convince the suspicious Dwarfs into letting her stay in the cottage. The key pose for this animation was taken from the close-up shot of Snow White, drawn by Marc Davis in a model sheet created in 1971 for publicity art relating to the Snow White rereleases.

Hello again!👋 For the Thoughts, Learning and Intellect Headcanon Ask for Muses could you please answer the Jump the Gun one? Thank you!💞💞💞💞
[JUMP THE GUN] What biases does your muse hold that impact how they perceive the world or choose to take in new information? Do their personal blindspots and preconceptions lead them to errors in judgement? ( still accepting )
Snow White gravitates towards first helping those that are the smallest of the crowd, typically either the youngest or the oldest. Her heart goes out for them most particularly if they're alone. Anyone, really, who appears a solitary figure will be on the receiving end of all of her support and love. She wants to help them in any way she can, and reads vulnerability into them, a need for community, and an inability to survive if those two things aren't afforded to them. This leads to so many blindspots, and preconceptions.
First and foremost, though Snow White is coming from a good place, not everyone who's alone or appears to be weak is in need of help. Her compassion eclipses her reason in those moments though, or what the individual needs of those people would be. This is something Grimhilde actively exploits. It isn't hard to see that it comes from Snow White's lived experience; yes, she's of a compassionate nature, but the most traumatizing things befall her childhood, when she was left without either of her parents. She represses a lot of her emotions, when she can help it- mostly sadness- and it comes out in spurts with these people that rouse her sympathy. Lost animals, orphans, and widows are her biggest triggers when it comes to this. This empathy leads to errors in judgement, because she has an incredible mastery over her logic and can typically see the motivations of others a mile away (and knows how to sway them accordingly). However, if someone appeals to her heart, all of that goes out of the window. And, depending on the case, she might be somewhat aware but I think it ultimately goes back to that "I don't want to risk this person losing their life or being in a dark place if I can help it, even if it doesn't appear the most sensible thing for me to do."
favorite movies meme : [3/5] Walt Disney classics: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
‘Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold, a lovely maid I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is more fair than thee. Lips red as the rose. Hair black as ebony. Skin white as snow.’
Hello again, my dear Princess! I have a question about how life is at the palace. Does it ever get overwhelming being a princess? Is it stressful? Do you ever feel pressure from others or yourself? If so, how do you handle all these negative emotions? What do you do to relax and feel better? Thank you for answering, Your Grace!
"You have very beautiful manners!" the little Princess nods in cheery approval, already planning an introduction to the Seven Dwarfs. They could stand to benefit from still a few lessons on etiquette! "Ever since I conquered my fears in the forest, I've learned to forget my troubles!" Sometimes this has served her, while other times it's candidly formed a blind-spot of sorts. But, at the very least, nothing dispirits or deters Snow White for too long. "My Grandmother once told me that tears tempt misfortune. I do my very best to keep from crying. And, well, sometimes I just can't help it. But, you see, I always get up and brush myself off! It would never do to remain in the shadows. Just direct your feet, to the sunny side of the street!"
hello, princess aurora! what do you think of snow white? are the two of you friends, and if so, how do the two of you like to spend time together?
"Oh, what an inspired prompt! What's strange, is that I felt familiar with her from the time I was a small child. There was a book of fairy stories in my youth. Why, I can see the panels even now- the ones that first introduced me to Princess Snow White. From then on, she fascinated me. I'd parade through the cottage with a blue material about my shoulders. I must've gathered it from a trunk. I so persisted in this charade, that my dear Aunts eventually joined together and fashioned a cape of the very same material one Christmas! It was royal blue velvet and, to this day, remains my very favorite present I ever received."
As though it is behind her now, the sentimental Princess can recall the flowing train which bustled about her bouncing feet. The golden clasps of her current cape seemed to cover her constricting heart as this warm memory endeared itself to her once more, violet eyes obtaining a semblance of a mist. Something of her Aunt Flora takes over- "I might have come into this world bawling, but I don't expect to leave that way! After all, life is living, and this applies, I think, to everybody- Princess or Peasant. It is Snow White who taught me this, from the very start. Of course, music is our shared love- and the only thing that really fulfills me. Aside from that, we journey through the forest together and have come to know so much of nature. The animals, the changing of the seasons- so many things. Even just thinking of her know, I recall so many colors and expressions unique to her. She really can bring the heart out of anyone, that dear girl."
Thought, learning and intellect headcanon asks for muses
[MENTAL CHATTER] Does your character have an ongoing inner monologue, or do they more frequently think wordlessly/in abstract?
[ENTANGLED] Does your muse experience synaesthesia? (eg. tasting sounds, or seeing colours in music) If yes, does this have any effect on their creativity or understanding of certain senses?
[ALOUD] Does your character subvocalise (sound out words in their head) when reading silently to themselves, or no? When reading fiction, do they “hear” individual voices for each speaking character?
[WPM] How quickly can your character type, read or write?
[MOTHER TONGUE] For bilingual muses: does your character think in one particular language more than another? Are there certain topics or themes that they may be more likely to switch to another?
[FOCUS] How well can your muse focus on their own thinking or study in the presence of distracting background stimuli (loud environments, background chatter, visual clutter…)
[OFF TRACK] Is your muse prone to letting their mind wander? To their detriment?
[INTEREST] Does your muse find it hard to learn about or remember details of subjects that don’t captivate their personal interest? Even if they might be useful or advantageous to know?
[AHAH!] Is your muse good at recognising patterns and putting information together to recognise correlations or solutions quickly? Or do they need others to spell things out to them?
[SEEING RED] How easily is your muse’s judgement or perception swayed by their emotions and state of mind? Are they most always cool and level-headed, or are they prone to rashness or switching stances quickly?
[JUMP THE GUN] What biases does your muse hold that impact how they perceive the world or choose to take in new information? Do their personal blindspots and preconceptions lead them to errors in judgement?
[RECALIBRATE] How frequently does your muse evaluate their own ways of thinking? Have they little self-insight/feel set in their minds for better or worse, or are they constantly questioning their own outlook? To the point of self-doubt, even?
[SPLIT SECOND] How decisive is your muse? How confident do they need to feel about the outcome of their actions, or how much pre-thinking must they do before they feel they can act? Do they trust in their own decisions?
[FOREIGN] How does your muse fare when presented with ideas, concepts or experiences that feel far outside their usual norm? How hostile, sceptical or inquisitive might they be when encountering new viewpoints?
[STUDENT] Does your character enjoy learning for learning’s sake, or do they only seek out knowledge when they specifically need to?
[NOTES] How does your muse track their ideas and thoughts, or things they need to remember? Do they keep written or voice notes, or do they just think/hope that they’ll be able to recall what they need later?
[SELF ANALYSIS] How intelligent does your muse BELIEVE they are, versus how do they actually stack up next to others? What are the personal strengths and weaknesses of their minds and outlooks, compared to those of the people around them?
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) dir. David Hand.
Hello, dear Princess! Whenever you are a little ill or you have a cold, do you tend to take care of it on your own or do you ask for help from someone you trust? If the second, who are you most likely to go to in search for help? Thank you for answering!💞💞💞💞
"A cold?" the words echoed, as the little Princess felt herself jump in her alarm. Her tender heart immediately began to swell, with the wish that her friend had been alright! "Oh, I'm sorry! I'd hurry right along to bed, safe under the covers. The best anecdote to a cold is to surround yourself with all things warm!" A tinkering of bell-like laughter filled the room. "Warm blankets, warm food, a warm drink-" she had been counting on her white fingers, before one settled upon her plum lip. A warm drink- that was just the thing! She spun on her ribboned heels and immediately began to gather clean water from the cottage pump to brew a nice pot of tea for her visitor. "When I was little, my Grandfather's second wife would take care of me. She would always rub my feet with red wine. Then, she'd bundle me up until she was sure I'd be comfortable! It wasn't long before I would feel like myself again."
Dear Snow White, first I want to say that I love you 🌼
Second, did you get along well with the Prince's parents once you arrived in his kingdom? 🍎
"Thank you! I'm happy to let you know that my love is yours, too!" A blow kiss is sent your way, via a dove of genuine snow-white feathers. "We certainly did! But, you see, the good King and kind Queen knew of me well before I had ever met them. Word had crossed the ocean of a certain little Princess," the cherubic cheeks couldn't help but rise, as the joyful orphan referenced herself, in this story her Prince had so often repeated to her, "and the Prince felt himself being pulled. It was time for an adventure! Before he sailed from the mainland, he confided to his Mother of his wish to fall in love. I guess he figured setting off to look for this Princess would be the answer to everything." With her hands playfully steadying on her hips, and a nod of the head, she concluded: "I never did ask him how I measured up!"
Queen Grimhilde, in a way it's a good thing that the mirror judged Snow White to be the fairest in the land. If the mirror hadn't judged Snow White to be the fairest, you wouldn't have used the peddler's disguise. You said that using the Peddler's Disguise was quite freeing for you.
"Freedom is of far less consequence than being the Fairest One of All! I do not deny that there were certain advantages revealed along the path I took, but that does not make the retched girl's rivalry a worthwhile turn of events."
