A group of friends I know have a special tradition. They call it Delilah Day. It was created in response to society’s obsession with romance – particularly, Valentine’s Day. They spend the fifteenth of February buying discounted chocolates and writing love letters to their friends. Instead of “will you be my Valentine?” they ask “will you be my Delilah?” And there’s no limit to how many people you can ask!

I hope everyone enjoys Valentine’s Day this Sunday. Remember, being single is no cause for sadness. Being without a partner does not mean you’ll “die alone”. You will have wonderful friends, worthy of writing love letters to. You will have at least one Delilah. 💗

There are! I’m glad you asked. It’s the traditional Valentine’s Day colours (red, pink, metallic colours like gold or silver) but with a lot more purple! Sorry for the late reply, my lovely. 💜

Advice from a fairy:

♡ The world is your garden. It is yours for picnics, for walking barefoot on the grass, for admiring and for growing new plants. Be free, my love. Go outside.

♡ Talk to the moon; she likes listening to your stories. Tell her about your day, your secrets, and your dreams.

♡ Stop being embarrassed. I know it’s not that simple, but it helps so much. Would you rather spend your life doing nothing (for fear of embarrassing yourself) or go out and do everything! Shame is an irrational emotion.

♡ Spend more time dancing. It’s good for the body and for the soul.

♡ You are ethereal. We are all alive, alive, alive and that is a wonder. Recognise your ethereality, and abandon the idea that spirituality is pretentious. Every year, fairies hold a ball to celebrate the lunar new year – where you dress like a shimmering star. This is because nearly all of the elements in earthly life are made from stars. (It’s true, look it up!) You are living stardust. Isn’t that astonishing?
