I remembered that cool Cure Passion end card and thought, "Why don't I redraw that but w/ Rosalina?"
Was gonna do my standard shading, but it didn't look good against the background I made, so I opted for the hard-light overlay and used the multiply layer to shade underneath.
Lovin the background I made. I used the space cloud brush to add extra depth/pop of color.

Itβs criminal how underutilized the Red Star is. If we ever get a new Galaxy game, they better incorporate it in more levels.
I really wanted to try something different with my rendering style, mainly an emphasis on shadows with some light highlighting. For my 1st try, I'm pretty happy. Really had fun playing around with the blending, opacity, and colors to get it to look right.

SYNOPSIS:
The story as the name implies, is a swap AU with many twists and changes from both the original Frontiers game and the New Horizons DLC.
It follows Sonic's, Amy's and Tails' journey through the Starfall islands. But as a cybernetic portal opens and splits the three apart, it's up to Tails to change their fate. Through many paths and wreckages, he builds machines out of Eggman parts and ancient artefacts to face against the Titans, uncover new mysteries to the ancient civilisation and even take the spot of the hero he always dreamed to be.
Will he prevail the challenges and hurdles that he comes across on his journey? See it for yourself!

As you can tell, Waluigi loves his space goddess as he gives her a surprise kiss on the cheek.
This is honestly one of my favorite crackships of all-time (maybe even my absolute fav). It only took nearly 10 years to finally draw them together.
Also, is it Walsalina or Wasalina? I prefer Wasalina cuz it rolls off the tongue better.

Nah jk this was originally for the 2025 GwodMay art zine. When I saw the "Your choice AU" prompt, I immediately thought of this because I'm a genius w/ a big brain.
Gwody is so Naegiri-coded with the small, baby-faced male protag and the pale, only sane female protag. Cody and Naegi looked similar that it was easy to translate the latter's design on the former. Gwen and Kirigiri was a bit challenging because of differing color palettes, but I'm happy with how everything looks.
Tried a slightly more cartoony style, but honestly I don't see much of a difference between my usual style so oh well
May do a full-body drawing since this idea is too good to leave like this.
How interested would you guys be in a potential Mario role swap AU?
Naturally, I don't have much planned out despite the idea floating around for 2+ yrs but I have started finalizing out details, mainly some character designs, their roles, and some parts of the story.
(The Mario Kart World trailer provided some great ideas for Peach's and Daisy's designs...)
