I don’t know about the books or the story with Phillip Crane or whatever, so bare with me.

I think show! Eloise needs something completely different to make sense. Something like she dresses up as a man to go to a class at university and meets a professor there, and he helps her sneak in or something. A man who respects her intellect, who is a feminist. Maybe not a noble but an intellectual.
