Why does gay panic have to hit so HARD 😭
Especially when you can’t tell if the other person is attracted to you or not, but acts queer enough to set off your lgbtq recognization receptors 😭
Can we PLEASE normalize the emphasis of places and people being a safe space in one-on-one situations
Like it’s wonderful that you announce it in front of a group of people, but sometimes the meaning is not as strongly presented in those scenarios
For some people, group announcements are not enough to actually convince someone to talk to you if they need help
But striking up a one-on-one conversation, even with a completely different topic might give someone enough of a boost to open up
I nearly started bawling in front of a mentor of mine today, cause one of our conversation topics turned to my mental health and anxiety (which she didn’t know about beforehand), cause her telling me that she was there for me truly made it feel like a space I feel safe in, much more than any other time I was in a group of people and learned that information
I swear my life is just a shit post at this point
I legitimately asked my friend if I wanted to match with either one very specific wall, or my water bottle today and she replied without needing much more explanation than that
(We came to the decision to match with the wall for walls are very much our friends, although I’m not quite as close with the wall as I am with the floor)
The coolest skill a person can have is making others feel welcome and wanted. You know the person, who talks to lonely and shy people in gatherings, and makes them feel at ease. And then someone else joins your two person small chit chat and suddenly it is a warm friendly conversation. That is magic right there. :3
I never wanted someone to save me.
Please stay. I can't be saved, that shouldn't be your goal. Just stay and make my existence bearable. Just stay, laugh with me, talk to me. Don't leave because you can't save me. Stay because no one can. Just stay. Please
You say you want to be alone and you like it that way, But aren't you the one who once wanted to feel belonged and included? But some stupid people once made you feel stupid for being happy and excited. Their under excitment towards your over excitement made you feel like they're not really happy to be with you and didn't actually want you to be around? It made you feel like you're bothering them which ended up you making feel worthless. Damn that look on their face. You still remember it? right? It really made you feel like a heavy burden that those people had to deal with even when they didn't really want to. Since so, you decided to be on your own and started telling people that you're anti social and don't really like hanging out with people?
it's okay and good to acknowledge your limits - especially if it's something important or something you care about. if you push yourself, you'll sacrifice your ability to do what you're doing properly or enjoy it - it'll negatively effect the other things you do as well. so no, it's not irresponsible to act in accordance to your capabilities. following your limits is the kind, caring thing to do for yourself and others. and still, even if it were irresponsible, that doesn't mean you don't deserve support or compassion or access to what you want or need to do.
Why the fuck did the universe suddenly decide to slam me with new types of attraction that I don’t know how to describe other than they are certainly not sexual, and not just purely romantic, platonic or aesthetic
You’ll find your people and you’ll be so glad you didn’t give up before you met them.
No, I didn't forget about those WIPs, time just moves differently for me. For you, it's been years; for me, it's just been a few seconds, maybe a minute
You are not overreacting.
Just because things could be worse doesn't mean they don't suck.
Just because you're focusing a lot on your own struggles doesn't mean that you don't care about other people. Your struggles are valid and important and deserving of your attention.
It's okay to cry. It's okay to be sad, to be angry, to be tired. Let yourself feel things without guilt. And take your time sorting things out.
I'm sorry you're struggling.
We're gonna get through this.
Who wouldn’t want to be apart of Prez’s harem???
I mean??? Abbi explains it pretty well
reminder that you are enough just as you are.
you don't need to change or be more productive or do more to be enough.
you always have been and always will be enough by simply existing and being you.
you are so grown now, you are so different from how you used to be.
but somewhere inside is the child you used to be, somewhere there is a little one who is so proud that you are doing everything they wanted to.
you don’t have to be perfect to be a good person. you don’t have to spend your whole life making up for past mistakes. you don’t have to know everything or do the right thing all the time. good people come in many different forms
