bengalisms: đžCaspianđŻ
â I think youâre just saying itâs mimicking so you donât look silly. â Too late, he had already passed that line with Caspian the day they met! But it never mattered to Caspian. He wasnât some man who needed his friends to be perfect or âmachoâ. He wasnât that way, so why expect anyone to be? Though Ashwin was certainly a stronger and tougher man on a day to day basis compared to him, he found he liked the playful and jovial side of his friend more.Â
Playfully smirking as Ashwin mentions his love of food, Caspian finds he can only relate in some ways. His relationship with food is a difficult one to put into words; and it certainly isnât something he likes to joke about. Nevertheless, he smiles as Ashwin asks about Makena and her dinner, nodding his head. â Oh it will completely ruin her dinner but, a ruined dinner here and there never bothered me. â He was a strange combination of a strict father and a lenient one ââ in some ways he required things to be a certain way with firmness, while other times he was content to simply let things unfold.Â
â Iâll call her down, you make the popcorn. â
Ashwin grinned when Caspian relented to making more popcorn, fully intending to make the most of spending times with his brother and niece. They had firmly planted themselves into Ashâs life as family and that was the way heâd always see them, even if their lives meant there were times where they hardly had time to speak or see each other at all.Â
âYou wonât regret it,â he said, fully intending to make popcorn, and poke around Casâ fridge and make some quick healthier snacks too.  âLet me know when youâve got everything set up,â he added, practically a skip in his step as he made his way to the kitchen. âBlanket fort optional, I wonât criticise it too harshly.âÂ
