KABOOOOM!
It turned into one of those moments where words were useless in a sense. They didnāt have to talk to each other to send a message, because the situation turned quite romantic and loving at that moment, once they came to realization that they could stay a little longer.
Natsume served as not just a lover at that moment, but his body became Shuuichiās source of heat. Not that he felt cold in that sense, but his body did seek out the warmth from his lover. Meanwhile, the kissing stopped, but the nuzzling didnāt and neither did the soft and pleased sounds that left Shuuichiās mouth either. Especially when he felt Natsume trail his fingers over the back. Shuuichi hated to admit it, but that kind of action⦠He was a sucker for them and would probably lay on his stomach all day long if someone offered to do it.
āI think they can wait one more hour,ā he finally murmured, and began to trail kisses where he could reach again.
It could be his own secret - although perhaps Natori had already figured it out - that he knew just how much those touches were not only welcomed, but desired. He knew, and thus took advantage of the fact he could do so on bare skin -Ā receivingĀ the desired result, much to his satisfaction. "You shouldn't put a time to it," he chided, "What happens when, an hour from now, you decide they can wait yet another hour? I wouldn't put that past you..." Despite the words, Takashi's tone was nothing but loving and almost completely calm. It was a mere statement of facts, as he truly wouldn't put such a thing past his lover, despite that the man cared for his guardian's well-being just as much as he did. "I can agree to an hour though," he soon relented again, beneath soft skin and warm lips. Warm lips that he shyly attempted to guide toward his own, with a cool and slightly-shaky hand placed on the actor's cheek.Ā
KABOOOOM!
āYet they also know that weāre here. Although, I know what you mean about worrying,ā Shuuichi trailed off, but made no move to part from Natsume at all. From the looks of it, he looked pretty comfortable, all snuggled up against the teen, despite the small jolts now and then.
With each jolt, came a soft kiss against the equally soft skin, anything really to calm the other down for the time being. āI think we could stay just a little bit longer. Who knows when this opportunity to be alone comes againā¦,ā Shuuichi finally trailed off and actually left it at that, too. Words werenāt needed from his part, considering he was in a gentle and calm way, showing his love for the teen by innocently worshiping the skin he could reach.
Ah, Natori didn't plan to leave yet. Was he relieved? Somewhat. Perhaps it was mostly relief he felt, which caused him not to protest. That or the warmth that was slowly trailing over the exposed expanse of his pale flesh. "I'm not disagreeing," Takashi pointed out, his voice soft as if afraid he'll ruin the moment or his lover's mood, "I just...mm... B- But I did call them...so I guess you're right," he finally relented. Perhaps coaxed by the soft kisses, or perhaps just seeing no point in pressing the matter further. After all, Natori had come all the way out here in the rain - getting himself soaked - just for him. The least he could do was honour the actor's wishes, right? Right. It had nothing at all to do with how nice it felt to let himself be spoiled for once, that definitely wasn't what those soft sighs that managed to leave his lips meant. Takashi had gone silent - aside from those pleased sounds here and there - after his previous statement. Instead he was relaxed (as much as he could be) and allowing the other to kiss and touch as he liked. After all, even Takashi himself had those cool and somewhat-shaky hands exploring Natori's smooth back - every little contour from muscle and bone. It was almostĀ mesmerizing.
"There are things you can't have no matter how much you want them. So it's easier to just forget them." -Natsume Takashi
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi knew well enough that his gaze made Natsume uncomfortable, which is why he instead relaxed his body and hid his face against the teenās neck. Of course he still held himself up with his arms, since he really didnāt want to crush the poor blond.
āDo you think it will calm down anytime soon? Itās close to dinner time and itās very uncute to have stomachs growling in this kind of setting, right?ā Shuuichi murmured against the soft, but warm skin, unable to part from it obviously.
At one moment, one could think that Shuuichi fell asleep, with how calm and relaxed he became, and his breath evened out, but he felt more relaxed than ever, finding himself to be alone with the person he treasured, without any kind of interruptions, unless one counted the small jolts Natsume made with the lightning. At least he didnāt jolt much when the sound came anymore, but his body did still react to the thunder in a sense.
Meanwhile, it seemed as if the wind began to calm down, not making the rain hit the walls in that angry way, nor was it āscreamingā in that scary way either, so perhaps they could make a run for it and arrive home, soaking wet, but at least they would be home.
Not that the shed looked shabby with the candles.
The magic would end if they left. Not that it meant they'd never be close like this again of course, even if Takashi protested the actor would still make cuddle sessions happen. Perhaps because he knew the blond would sooner or later relax into them and enjoy them. In other words, there would be more moments like this...but not quite truly like this one. It was one of a kinda and Takashi wanted it to last just a little longer. Sure, he was scared. Distractions aside, he still felt that rush of adrenaline with each flash and boom, and it really made him wish he was within the safety of a home he could finally call his, along with Natori. The shed wasn't bad, and the older male did make him feel safe but it just wasn't the same. This was all true...but he still wanted to stay, just a little more. They were alone. No one would dare brave that weather in interrupt them. Takashi liked this peace. Even days where the Fujiwara's were out, couldn't compare to this feeling of having a place truly to themselves. Even if it didn't last forever. The candles were indeed a nice touch as well. He mentally admitted this felt rather romantic, fear aside. Natori was right though, and the teen finally dared to speak up and break that silence (save for mother nature outside) that had settled over the room. "It does sound less threatening, and the thunder is less frequent. ...We probably could make it if we ran," Takashi pointed out, a bit reluctantly. Although a part of him did want to hurry home for more than just safety. It was his guardian's peace of mind he was worried about more than dinner or a blanket to hide under. Which he was sure to voice, despite that it probably sealed the deal on them heading out soon. "The Fujiwara's will worry. We should probably take the chance while we're allowed it. Who knows if there's another harsh wave to come," he all but sighed out, while letting his arms continue to rest loosely around the brunette. "Unless you like your makeshift love shack that much?" Takashi then teased a bit, even if it did backfire and have him blushing softly at the thought of it really being a 'love shack'.
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi moved a bit and stood up on his fours to hover over Natsume. His look didnāt say that he was angry or anything, but it was more of a look that said Shuuichi understood. He knew that these sorts of books existed and he knew how important names were to youkai. Actually, this also explained why his blond lover passed out so often, without Shuuichi realizing it. Every piece of puzzle fell into place.
āIām glad you told me. I wonāt take the book away from you, if thatās what you thought. It answers many of my questions and I understand you for returning the names. Honestly, I didnāt expect anything else,ā Shuuichi suddenly smiled down towards Natsume, one of those rare smiles Natsume only received, and sometimes his guardians.
āIām glad youāre able to fend them off. I worry about you, and I wish to protect you and now I can protect you even more⦠now that I know what youāre going through. Thank you for sharing with me. I feel as if you trust me more and more each day that passes,ā he continued, to reassure Natsume that he still wasnāt upset to hear about the book. No matter how useful that book can be, Shuuichi swore at that moment that he will never use Natsume for his own purpose, not even now with the new information given.
āHave I ever mentioned how⦠handsome you look in this light? No, I am not trying to use a pick-up line on you to sleep with you. I still told you that we take it at your pace. If you want to wait a year, then you can wait a year. To me, what we share now is enough,ā he once again reassured, since Natsume had dared to voice up his issue a few weeks ago. At that moment, Shuuichi confessed how he felt when he and Natsume shared more intimate moments, but he could compose himself, if his lover wanted, and they would do anything Natsume wanted to do, when he felt he was ready. That offer never went away. āI just felt like complimenting you for once.ā
As if heās not doing that daily, alreadyā¦
Oh. He was speechless. A part of him knew that Natori wouldn't be anything but understanding, but that other nagging part that seemed to permanently take a spot in his mind. That part said the actor would want to leave, or be upset that he hid something so large. Well...anything but understanding, really. No, Takashi wasn't only speechless. He felt that prickling, itchy sensation at his eyes - signaling his desire to cry - perhaps due to the relief that flooded him. The relief, the warmth, the-- Okay, now Natori was going a bit too far, but still. Who would think he was crying and shivering from fear mere moments ago, with the way he just felt so...happy, that the same fluids were threatening to spill. The human body was a strange thing at times. Thankfully he was spared the embarrassment of more waterworks, as he found a spot to choose the less emasculating route and respond to the compliment instead...in his own way. Although the blush surely didn't help him seem as in control as he wanted to be.Ā "Your 'for once' must mean 'for the first time today'," Takashi pointed out, as he fidgeted a bit under that gaze. "I know you won't do that without my go ahead,...you don't need to remind me. It's embarrassing,..." Like this position...and your intense gaze... He practically felt naked under that gaze already, without being reminded of such things!Ā
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi couldnāt back down this time. He was the one that initiated the talk in the first place, and Natsume had the right to know about his loverās past. āAlright, but I donāt really think it is a happy story, I just want you to realize that before I tell you a little bit about myself, okay?ā Shuuichi cupped Natsumeās face, to make sure he saw the seriousness in Shuuichiās eyes, in his facial features, before he began to tell Natsume about his childhood, save for Hiiragi whom he already knew about.
āMy mother died when I was young and I was raised by my uncles. Because of what I can see and could see back then already, my uncles blamed me for my motherās illness and later her death. I donāt know, but I think their words have forever been imprinted in my brain and shaped me to be the exorcist I am today, but I also come from a family of exorcists, so maybe that was their job or something,ā Shuuichi explained and could for once not meet Natsumeās eyes, he also decided to add in a small detail about a certain someone they both met on more than one occasion.
āI am also Matoba-kunās sempai. We went to the same school and grew up together. I⦠I just felt like sharing that small detail, so you know we arenāt just enemies in our line of duty.ā
It wasnāt like Shuuichi to talk this openly, but he has been thinking about it ever since he and Natsume became more than friends, because it was every right for Natsume to know about his loverās past. āBut I have changed a bit, I mean⦠When it comes to being an exorcist. I rather keep you in my life than do something you disapprove of. Same as I rather keep you my friend and lover, instead of wanting you as my powerful assistant. It works better this way,ā Shuuichi finally looked at Natsume again, and his large hand cupped the cheek again, with his thumb that drew patterns over his cheekbone. āI will never understand how you can be nice to those that try to harm you, but I have come to accept it at least. It still doesnāt explain why they come after you. I know you have great powersā¦,ā he trailed off, but perhaps that was too much to ask for now. Shuuichi based their relationship on trust, after all.
"Oh...I'm sorry. I can sort of relate, but I was too young to even have memories of my mother before she passed away," Takashi confessed - his expression one of sadness as he imagined how Natori must have felt. He'd known they were alike, but that even their pasts were similar had come as a surprise...and brought about that frown on his face as he wondered if they didn't have even more in common from their childhood. Takashi leaned his face slightly into the other's touch - an automatic reaction for sure, but that just meant it was all the more genuine. "Because, just because one person or youkai is cruel, doesn't mean they all are. Ones that are often have a reason as well. Like stress," he explained - buying time to think of a response for the other question.Ā Could he really say it? He hated hiding things from Natori, he really did. It wasn't like he thought his boyfriend would steal the book and use it for bad, it was more like...he didn't want to involve anyone. Knowledge could be dangerous. "It's...not just my powers, although I'm sure that helps lead them to me," he began, trembling and gazing into those reddish brown pools - hoping it would relay the seriousness of what he wanted to say. There was still time to turn back though, and Takashi was so tempted...but at the same time he didn't want to hide any more. Feelings were one thing, but the very thing that put Natori in danger? Could the danger of the actor knowing be any worse than the danger of being at Takashi's side, though? He was so conflicted, but the pros of just spilling it finally, far outweighed the cons. Which was why a deep breath was being taken, with the teen closing his eyes to calm down. "My grandmother,...she left behind a book which I inherited. She would...challenge youkai, and have them put their name into this book - I'm sure you know the power of names, right? So, I can call upon the youkai that have their name in the book, and order them to do things. Of course, that's not how I use it though. I've been giving the names back, instead," he paused to catch his breath and recollect his thoughts, before daring to continue piling information onto his poor audience. "I was taught how to return them, although it takes power and leaves me exhausted after each one. So some youkai come to me for their name back, and are kind. Others...come after me because they want the book to use for bad. To control other youkai...s- so...that's why so many of them flock to me and search me out." He waited for a response - any response - from the actor, worrying the inside of his lip as his mind went over all of the possibilities. Like...Natori deciding he was in over his head and that Takashi was too much to bother dealing with...
KABOOOOM!
āWell, I was thinking that I wanted to find out the cause of your fear of thunder, and perhaps⦠Why youkai follow you as if you are a piece of sugar to ants.ā Shuuichi admits, and for once, heās not using his voice that hints he has a hidden thought to it all, nor is it playful. Heās genuinely curious but has never dared to asked before.
Again, he leans in and gives Natsume another of those kisses, since it seems as if the first one didnāt do a proper job at making his boyfriend breathless. This time it seems to work, as he can feel Natsumeās cheeks grow warmer, and the teen actually gasps in the middle of the kiss. Shuuichi doesnāt take that opportunity to deepen it though, but parts with a soft peck to the forehead instead.Ā
āAnd this moment to talk goes both ways. If there is something you want to ask, then feel free to ask it. I mean everything, since I donāt know what you actually know about me or not,ā he reassures, since it may seem as if this is a moment for Shuuichi only to have answers to some questions, but that is obviously not the case.
Takashi was successfully tamed with the second meeting of lips; no longer fidgeting or avoiding eye contact like he had suddenly decided to do prior to their kiss. That wasn't to say he felt comfortable answering questions now, but he at least wasn't ready to flee - much like a wary stray cat that had been lured in with fresh fish - and the peck to his forehead seemed to seal the deal. The teen really was a sucker for such caring gestures. Besides, it wasn't just him who was being told to open up. So it should be okay... I probably shouldn't answer about the book though. Damp strands of blond were soon clinging to Natori's skin again, as his younger lover used his chest as a hiding place before timidly speaking. "I think I've always been afraid...but I can't remember. The first experience I can recall though, was with one of my early foster families..." Takashi trailed off, taking in a shaky breath. "I had a secret base, you know? A place to hide from youkai and just get away," he admitted, "but one time when I fell asleep there, I woke up and it was dark and storming. I'm sure you can imagine...how scary that could be for a small child. Yet I worried more about getting back and not causing trouble for everyone, at first," he couldn't help but chuckle softly at that - even he could see the amusement. The fact he hadn't changed a bit since then. Even now, he hoped that the Fujiwara's weren't still worried over him. "Anyway... I was trapped there by my fear until I wore myself out. The next thing I knew, people had come to bring me back to the family I was staying with." Takashi sighed as he finished the story, and purposefully left out the kind of greeting he hadĀ receivedĀ upon his return - let alone how he had reacted. They had nothing to do with his fear, and no reason to be told. The past was the past, after all. The past was the past, but he still wanted to hear a bit from Natori. To learn what made him the man he was today. After all, that glimpse he'd caught before told him the actor hadn't always been the way he was now. But where did he even start with questions, to find out and not step on a landmine? Takashi finally raised his head - as well as his voice - and met the other's gaze as he began to speak again. "I don't really have a specific question...but, anything about your childhood you can remember and want to share? I mean, besides the stuff with Hiiragi." Yep. Be vague, that would work.Ā
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi continues to hold Natsume with each passing āboomā, that seems to never cease nor leave the place. Persistent little bugger they suffered today. Although, it seems as if the thunder passes, but the wind and rain is staying, making the two males unable to leave home still, but at least Natsume will relax more now.
āYour shirt is fine, this is fine. Iām sorry I am left to my boxers only. At least I put on the nice looking ones and not the ones with tiny Pikachus on.ā Shuuichi joked and shifts a little, now that the hold on him isnāt dead tight. His hand runs up and down on Natsumeās back and side in that soothing way he manages to always pull off. āSo, we are alone and it seems we wonāt be able to leave. Our phones work at least so people can reach us. Why donāt we stay here on the mattress a while longer and talk? I mean seriously talk in that way we can never manage because there is always people around,ā he offers with that genuine look on his face.
Shuuichi isnāt stupid, he knows Natsume is hiding things from him, but he figures that after dating for months now, Shuuichi is entitled to know why Natsume react to certain things in a certain way, and why there is always youkai following him. The last one is wishful thinking but he can always try. Talking about those things obviously mean he will come clean as well, exposing his past for the first time since he told Hiiragi about it as a child. Natsume deserves to know.
As if to coax his lover into it, a thumb rubs over his cheekbone in a soft and loving way, and he soon gives him a sweet kiss after, one of those breathtaking ones heās prone to give Natsume at least once or twice a day.
It felt as if he'd been running a marathon by the time Takashi could trust mother nature enough to deem the thunder gone. His chest had that slight heavy feeling, one which slowly lessened as his heart beat eased into its usual pattern. ...For the most part. Those words had it picking up pace just a bit. Natori knew just how to treat him in any given situation it seemed, since those soft movements helped him to finally relax again. It didn't feel like he was being pried or pressured when the actor asked like that; all he could sense was genuine curiosity and the desire to know more about his boyfriend. A feeling that Takashi shared. "Talk about what, exactly?" he finally murmured, "I- I can't exactly start without knowing what I should be explaining. It's not like there's anything that's been bothering me lately...more than the usual."
KABOOOOM!
It isnāt long before Shuuichi finds what heās looking for, and heās with Natsume soon again, although dropping everything he has in his arms to hug his boyfriend close to him again. At least while the next set of thunder sounds right above them. āTake off your clothes, or at least the wet ones,ā he almost demands and is doing it himself, only to take one of the mattresses perched up against a wall and drag it to the middle of the floor.Ā He also begins to set up the candles everywhere, sort of making a bit of a moody setting but candles also work as a heating source in a sense, which is why it looks like he has raided the entire school of them and matches.
With them set up, he goes back to where the mattress original position has been, and uses the rope that held it up as a place to hang their dripping clothes. Actually, itās more his clothes that drip than Natsumeās, but at least they are drying.
āDid you manage to call your guardians?ā Shuuichi asks, once heās finally sprawled out on the mattress, that might work as their bed if the wind and thunder wonāt calm down anytime soon. Heās also patting his chest as an invitation for Natsume to cuddle up against him.
Take Natori Shuuichi of all people to make a shabby P.E storage into a romantic room, thus ā insert ego inflation here.
It was amazing really, and he was given the chance to admire Natori's handiwork during breaks between thunder - said man holding him tightly during each actual 'boom'. Indeed, how had such a dingy place that was merely Takashi's quickest solution...become a perfect spot and almost romantic. Then again, if one lost the candles, it was a lot like a cliche set up for romance to begin with - being locked up in such a small dark place. It had been used so many times in those manga...that he of course did not read. Right. Of course. Another crash had him taking his boyfriend's offer without hesitation, and holding onto the man for dear life for that moment until he could speak again. "I called, and they're fine... I didn't tell them exactly where I was stuck, 'cause they'd just worry. But they know we're together and within the school," he admitted in that soft voice, perhaps even softer than usual. Although that could be blamed on the fact he didn't want his voice echoing in the room. "Thanks for coming, even though I was going to tell you to stay," he softly chuckled, and remained snuggled so close - holding on almost painfully tight even without the loud sound. "I will, you know. Take care of you if you get sick. I will...but please don't." It was a soft plead, as if Natori could actually stop himself from getting ill, but the words seemed to ease him somewhat at least. "Is my shirt too cold? On your skin, I mean. Most of the rain was on my jacket, but it feels like my shirt may have gotten a little damp in places."Ā
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi can see himself holding Natsume like this for the remainder of the storm, but he can sense the worries, not just for himself, but Natsume is worrying about the others, for a valid reason too. āCall them. Iā¦,ā he trails off as another flash flares outside the window, but Natsume canāt see it, because heās pressed against a firm, but wet chest. The boom comes seconds after and he feels his boyfriend tense up all over again. He wants to ask why Natsume is so afraid of thunder, but itās a topic that is laced with memories that he has a feeling his boyfriend might not want to talk about right now.
Once the booming fades out for now, Shuuichi decides to speak up again, āCall them and⦠I think we might be here for some time, maybe the entire night. Itās windy out there and I barricaded the door in case it picks up, but⦠Do you know if your school has any supplies of candles? We need heat in here, but we also need to dry our clothes. Wait here and talk to the Fujiwaraās while I get everything needed,ā he explains and begins to move the shelf again and he leaves with a promise to return in no time.
It was with great reluctance that Takashi allowed his boyfriend to leave. It felt like he was moving in slow motion as his hands released the wet fabric, allowing his arms to drop back to his sides...while they ached to wrap themselves around Natori again. "There's emergency kits in classrooms, maybe even the gym teacher's office? Or you could find the art room..." he trailed off, giving instructions on where said art room was located despite that teacher desks were their best bet. Just to beĀ thorough. After Natori took off back outside, the teen was quick to huddle up on the floor again - pressing himself back against the corner, as if that would somehow help get rid of the booming outside. It didn't. Takashi hugged his knees, waiting and hoping that his lover would be okay before remembering what he'd been worried over mere seconds ago. That served as a temporary distraction at least, as he called up the Fujiwara's to let them know that he was fine (although definitely not going into detail over his exact situation, that would only worry them) and make sure that the elderly couple was doing okay as well. After a wish for them to be careful, since the winds seemed strong, the call ended...and he was left to wait alone again - amber orbs staring intently at the door, just waiting for Natori to barge in through it again. By the time that did happen, however, the blond was very much a curled up ball that was only seconds away from giving in to tears.
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi never hangs up; he knows that it could mean that Natsume will become even more scared than he should be. If Shuuichi can prevent something from happening that easily, heās bound to do it, which is why he keeps on talking even as he knows where his boyfriend is located.
Even he is surprised how fast he moves and how well his stamina works in his favor this time. Perhaps itās true what they say, that the body gains a new type of strength when in danger or fighting for someone. This someone will soon be reunited with his āknight in shining armorā. Meanwhile, Natsume will have to suffer more thunder in his loneliness.
āTouko-san is going to reprimand me later. Iām sure Iāll catch a cold after this. Will you be my nurse?ā
Bad Shuuichi, stop making perverted jokes with a scared teen!
There is soon different noises outside the room Natsume is in, and considering he never says heās close, Natsume can add 2+2 together and assume Shuuichi isnāt allowing him to go outside, because in the doorway, is a soaked up actor, that shuts and barricades the door with a shelf full of P.E items since the wind has also picked up in strength.
Water drips from his form, but he smiles upon seeing his boyfriend, safe and sound and both cellphone and umbrella falls to the floor. āI suppose a hug in my state is out of the question?ā
He didn't even need to respond to that nurse comment. Even if one ignored the state he was in, there was the fact he'd feel guilty later if Natori really did get sick. Rather than think on nursing, he hoped it wouldn't come to that! Although he was being too selfish at the moment to say so, as he worried more about his own fears. Fears that were soon pushed aside at least a tiny bit by the view of his soaking wet boyfriend standing in the doorway. "I could have me-- Uwa! What? Is it that bad out there now?" Takashi wondered, in a bit of a panic as the door was blocked off. Were they stuck? What about the Fujiwara's, what should he-- The teen was on his feet again and in Natori's arms mere seconds after the question had left his older lover's lips. Why would he care about that? He was already wet - although not nearly as soaked at Natori - since he'd been too afraid to use an umbrella, and even in normal circumstances he wouldn't refuse. "Sorry. Sorry for bringing you out here,...and now you're soaked...- And cold! Natori!" He was staring up at the actor now, obviously worried...until another flash made itself known through those small windows, and is quickly followed by the loud boom that has Takashi clinging again - trembling in the other's hold.
KABOOOOM!
Shuuichi quickly confirms that he is indeed at the Fujiwara residence. Where Natsume left him this morning, where Shuuichi planned on staying at least until next week. āI can meet you if you want,ā he offers and hopes that Natsume will swallow his pride for once and accept the kind offer that really is for his own well-being. Natsume wonāt do good if heās running around outside in what scares him the most.
āNo wait, I will meet you,ā Shuuichi quickly adds and the worried tone of Touko-san us faint, but giving away that Shuuichi is headed out, with the excuse that Natsume didnāt bring an umbrella. Is he using the one he took? No, not at all. His voice is labored, and his breathing comes out in pants, because the actor is running. He knows vaguely which way to go but not fully. At least he thinks Natsume will be slow in walking anyway and Shuuichi is far from walking.
The very few people that dare being outside, save from students give him odd looks. If it is because heās stupid and running in this weather, or because of whom he is and running in this weather, well ā Shuuichi doesnāt give a damn at all about it now. Natsume is the only thing existing on his mind, and how to reach him and bring him back in safety.
Thatās when it happens. A flash, bright enough to blind is the warning, before it rumbles and bangs loudly. āShitā¦,ā he looks up to the sky to see the spectacle displaying in the clouds. Mother Nature seems pissed off today for real. Seconds later he hears whimpering, which reminds him about his mission, and he does everything he can to keep his boyfriend calm while running again, āHang in there, okay! Donāt hang up! Seek shelter wherever you can and let me know where you are!ā
Slow was an understatement. Takashi had barely gotten the courage to take a step outside of the school building - sans umbrella due to his fear of it attracting lightning - before the next (and seemingly closer) crash occurred. He was just outside the school gates, still within view of other students leaving for the day, and thus merely froze in place to not seem suspicious - his whimper barelyĀ audibleĀ but indeed managing to escape. "Wh- What? Where..." he trailed off, and allowed amber orbs to dart around him quickly, "I'm going back to the school!" Takashi suddenly exclaimed as he realized how close he still was. What was even more perfect was that it wouldn't take much distance to get to the gym supply room, which he remembered having only two tiny windows. The less light the better, at the moment. The blond took off running back toward the school, easily confused for someone who'd just forgotten something, and was quick to make his way into the mentioned room - with the door falling closed behind him with a thud. "I'm in the supply room for P.E. It's...uh...to the left and the only small building beside the gymnasium. Near the fields... O- Or you can just tell me when you're here, and I'll go out and meet you," he quickly added, not wanting to be more trouble than he already was.Ā

Thunder, it was thundering badly outside and Shuuichi knows what that means. He remembers the night he spent at Natsumeās as if it happened yesterday. A memory forever etched into his head, as all he could do was to hold his boyfriend tightly in his arms.
Ā He had noticed that the teen was trying to brush it off at first, as if thunder didnāt affect him, as if he didnāt want to depend on anyone, but once the thunder ended up right above the house, Shuuichi had a quivering teen lying close to him.
Ā Shuuichi doesnāt like this dayās thunder, mostly because it seems it decides to thunder in the middle of the day and Natsume needs to go home from school, and school means there are people around and he knows how self-conscious his boyfriend is about showing his weaknesses in public, which means, this day turns disastrous already.Ā Do the Fujiwaraās know about their adoptive sonās fright of Mother Nature? Do they know that this means their adoptive son might not arrive home in time? Shuuichi ā Whoās staying over at their house, glances at his cellphone clock, knowing that the bell will ring in exactly three minutes, and the thunder is already inching closer.
Ā Not a minute after the clock strikes, he quickly finds Natsumeās speed-dial and calls, knowing his boyfriend has his phone on silent, but can feel the vibrations whether it is in his pocket or bag. He has to know if Natsume will be alright, if heās capable of running home without taking a detour to hide⦠Shuuichi needs to know if he should run out in the rain to meet him.
Ā āNatsume-kun, are you alright?!ā he almost shouts into the phone, his worry laced in his voice. He hates the time it takes for Natsume to say something, but when it does, he can already hear the nervousness oozing from Natsumeās speaker, to Shuuichiās receiver. He really hates this day already.
Class had been one of the biggest trials he'd been put through in a long time. No amount of experience helped him keep his cool for the remainder of his last period class, or so he felt. The occasional odd look he got, told him that he wasn't hiding it as well as he wanted, at least not completely. Perhaps it was that strained smile of his, that was more strained then usual. Or...perhaps it was how loud his friends had been, during the break, about saying he didn't look 'so hot'. Of course they would notice, of course... Not only had it drawn attention, but it threw him off his game. It was like when he was really upset over something and did his best to hold it in,...only to have Natori hug him. In that moment everything would break down and he'd cry on the man's shoulder. Having someone notice that he wasn't okay had weakened his act and left him feeling exposed, even if only slightly. A long class period, indeed. Takashi had eventually decided to try distracting himself with thoughts on how he'd get home later - and such fun thoughts they were - until the bell rang to let him go free. It startled him, perhaps far more than was normal, as his bag began sending vibrations to his hand the moment he picked it up. Although he did quickly figure out what it was after the fact, and hurried to the shoe lockers before fishing out the phone and waiting for his boyfriend to speak up. Or shout...that worked too, since he was so close to being outside and the thunder seemed deafening. "Y-...Yea, I'll be fine. Class just got out, so I'll be home...as soon as I can," he 'reassured', albeit vaguely. He couldn't very well say 'soon' without feeling like a liar, because who knew what would happen on the way home. Suddenly he was feeling that he'd much rather be attacked by a youkai today; at least he could punch those and send them running away. "You're there right? The Fujiwara's?" he quickly confirmed, almost desperately, as if searching for a goal to keep him going until he would see that gate. Natori was, after all, the only one besides Sensei that had seen his weakness to stormy days like this, to it's full extent.
