I like it! It’s not my first ship in the show, I’m a big Wyler and Enjax fan but BUT I do see and understand the appeal of the Wenclair ship because of the whole opposites attract trope ☺️

I have been absolutely SWAMPED lately so I only just got around to reading the newest chapter and like,,, star.

A hand — warm, steady, and unmistakably confident — came to rest on her shoulder, fingers splayed just enough to make her pulse skip.

“You’re in my seat, Thorpe,” came the voice — deep, calm, but laced with unmistakable threat. “Move.”

AND THEN YOU WRITE

Ajax appeared just then, sliding into the seat next to Enid with a nervous chuckle. “Uh, dude, just move. Don’t you normally have, like, a sketchbook emergency right about now?”

Tyler smirked, folding his arms. “Yeah, Thorpe. Go draw me a picture of what it looks like when someone takes a hint.”

Enid’s mouth dropped open, and Ajax muttered a quiet, “Oh, man,” under his breath.

found your fic while scrolling through the wyler tag here and flew through it in a couple days, I really like it! your writing style is lovely to read and the way you’ve interpreted the characters is spot on. The plot changes are also interesting but still fit into the world of the show (your hyde stuff is SO smart I’m obsessed).

curious about a couple things: do you have a sense of how big it’ll get (aka do you plan to get into season 2 and/or beyond?) and would you ever see yourself changing the rating at all?

I am so happy you like the work and all the changes/ ideas regarding Hydes. I'll be 100% honest I'm not sure how big this fic will get. it was originally meant to end after Camp Chippewa but people were so supportive and loving that I decided to carry on into Nevermore. I can say that the rating with change, it already has once. I have Ideas for the future of the fic, im just not certain how far down the line those ideas will come to fruition. also you mentioning about hydes being unlocked in calm, loving environments my thought process was like them being,,, okay you remember how werewolves are generally unlocked during puberty/early teens??

MY thoughts are that hydes naturally unlock during their mid-twenties, when their brains fully develop!! which makes sense, since even though they ARE vulnerable during that process, they don't have the fluctuating hormones and unstable emotions that they have during adolescent years. It also gives them time to choose who exactly they want to be their primary caretaker during that time (relative, partner, trusted friend, ect.)

(also- still working on the Hyde Google doc but I've been stuck on my phone so it's taking a hot minute 🥲)

See this just makes so much sense to me. That Hydes are meant to be unlocked safely when the person is grown and able to make rational choices for themselves.

There is so much more I could say but I do need to get to work. I will await your thoughts (and Google doc) with bated breath!
