This blog is dedicated to my Fallen London OC, Mr Talon and also The Eligist, I suppose.

I, the writer, have been playing the part of Mr. Talon since August 2024.

You may contact me in the game under the name TalonFoxtail. I engage in light amounts of In character discussion/ role play there or here.

I plan on using this blog to mostly post fiction relating to Mr. Talon and maybe some friends Fallen London OCs.

Love that Sargent Talons main adress is a spire. He's crawling up the walls like a lizard, just to go scare the shit out of Mr. Cups every so often by breaking its windows. What's it gonna do? Try and kill him? Didn't work. He's in the elevators with his 3 reflected companions and it scares the shit out of everyone because one of them might be Mr. Mirrors.

It had been a rough trip on the Zee. The general crew knew it. The officers knew it. He, the captain, knew it.

But the trip had been important none the less. A massive bomb of a ship in the harbor. If it went off, London would be in real trouble. His daughter, wife, agents, aquatences, friends. All in dire need.

And so he rallied the crew. They hadn't been to see in months, but that didnt bother them so much. They were well paid regardless. But they knew the captain well enough. And so, trusting in the captain, they'd loaded aging explosives from the ghost ship onto their own. As much as they could carry.

Off they went to the drop site. Rough zees. But that was the easy part. Now came the teeth. They weren't sure if they'd make it this time. But the captain hadn't given up, so they wouldn't either.

The captain grit his teeth. He'd take command, as he always had, and they'd sail through untouched. He was sure of it.

Been doing some thinking about classical elements, thematically, and how it relates to characters. And then, an Idea struck. What either single or combination of Neathbow colors best Represents your FLOC?

For Mr. Talon, it would of course be Peligrin, his connection to the Zee, the monstrous, and death being evident. However, thinking about it, and more surprisingly, he would also have associations with Violant. His memory is good, but the associations with "The most desperate treaties" and his Nemesis outcome is obvious. Hunters like him are very good at tracking down "Troublesome but necessarily connections." He is at his core, a monster which cannot be forgotten. Not by the masters, not by the world. Hes too dammed stubborn to let that happen.

imagine if you got arrested and your only way out of solitary confinement was to sell yourself as a slave to an overemotional divorcee who hatches a wildly illegal scheme solely to soften the blow of her ex getting rejected and part of that scheme involves moving to a tiny hovel in bumfuck nowhere where you have to treat squirrels like human people and work in retail. and there's like 10 other guys enslaved alongside you and they're all equally awful and annoying. and you've been working at the cash register for years with no paycheck or PTO and you don't even have dental. and some of your coworkers have died doing this. there's a non-zero chance you might die too. AND the cops are constantly threatening to kick down the door and give you the death penalty. AND your enslaver is a miserable mess who spends 99% of the day getting high and crying herself to sleep. AND the squirrels banded together to lock you in a closet that one time.

Passing on some good news because its my blog and I do what I want.

Ive been sort of out of fallen london for a bit do to being worried about potentially having breast cancer. Can't really play FL and worry about that at the same time.

The good news is I got examined today, and what do you know, no cancer! So expect me back in the FL madness soon!

the scoundrel would be the ultimate potential man of her gacha game. she would have a talent that buffs all the bats in her squad and Nothing Else and she would spend like 3 to 4 years being the only playable bat in the game. then during the 5th anniversary another master finally becomes playable and all of her copium riddled fans pop bottles because she's finally gonna come online. and then it turns out her talent syncs really really REALLY badly and the new bat actively performs WORSE when she's in the squad. not even an integrated strategies module could save her.

eventually all of the masters are added to the game and the scoundrel is able to buff all of them but none of them need her to function and some of her buffs are actively useless to them. like mr wines is a special attacker but the scoundrel buffs its raw physical attack (which it NEVER USES) for some godforsaken reason. she is at the bottom of every tierlist and everyone mocks her forever and ever. and ☝️ i would invest all of my time and resources into her. Of Course.

legend says if you put caeru and the scoundrel alone on the same team they both get really squeaky and blushy and the screen fades to black and when next open your roster you have a brand new level one unit named melnodraktrossa. which could symbolize anything.

While its not a daddy daughter dance, for a moment, there is an echo of the family broken and reforged by london, as a young woman excitedly drags her chaperone through her first Feast of the Exceptional Rose. Mr. Talon could not be happier.

You know, one of the funny things about Mr. Talon is how many like, companions he has that live behind the mirrors.

You get this man into a mirrored room and there will be no less then three horrifying things taking up space where his refection should be.

Spoilers for Nemesis below the cut

Say he's in a hall of mirrors. At least one refection is whats left of Mr. Mirrors, that he freed in his quest for revenge.

Another is a Ushabti silhouette in shadow.

A third looks like the Minotaur. Ready to reach out and rip you apart.

The cat next to him is reflected as a smoke black panther, and a pitch black hound besides, along with a Rat with glowing eyes perched on his shoulder.

If all that isnt intimidating, well.... his own refection should scare most other off.

completely nonsensical fallen london oc prompt; your flpc is going about their normal activities when the bandaged scoundrel randomly walks up to them and offers 700 echoes to stay far away from london for 24 straight hours. like, taking a trip to the khanate or the furthest reaches of the hinterlands, far. whatever your character wants, so long as it makes them stay out of the city for One Full Day. just one. nothing more, nothing less.

would they take the deal?

bonus #1: the scoundrel is looking weirdly manic throughout this exchange.

bonus #2: the scoundrel claims they will know if your oc tries to cheat and/or sneak back into london over the course of this 24 hour period. it is unclear how. they seem pretty confident, though.

bonus #3: the scoundrel refuses to explain why they are asking this, but they promise it will become clear once the 24 hour period concludes. it is unclear whether or not this is true.

important further elaboration, if this helps decide anything; the scoundrel has never looked more serious in their entire life. they're scruffy and manic, but they're also completely sincere when they're asking this. they look like they're trying to send your flpc away before a war. and they're VERY pushy about it.
