19 y/o stalker matt,, huge fan of cyndago and even bigger “fan” of ryan himself. matt flies all the way out to california from sc just so he can be closer to him,,, finding out where he lives and planting a small camera on the window connected to ryans bedroom. thank god his shared apartment was conveniently on the first floor. he spends hours of his day scrolling ryans instagram and twitter, wishing that ryan was spending every waking moment with him instead. occasionally he’ll follow ryan when he goes out by himself, staying at a far enough distance where he cant be seen by him. hes honestly amazed that he hasnt been caught yet. the idea of ryan noticing him excites him just as much as it terrifies him.

hes so infatuated with the idea of ryan being his and his alone. he makes a fake instagram account pretending to be someone hes not: a hot brunette girl that ryan immediately messaged back. matt knows that ryan would never want him,, hes just some scrawny, lower middle class white boy from south carolina whos deeply troubled. but hes convinced himself that if ryan loved him, he doesnt need anything- anyone else in the world. he sends ryan pictures of his body, in skimpy little skirts and t-shirts subtly edited to look like theyre fitted on a womans body. he watches on the camera as ryan pleasures himself to the fabricated photos he sends. and in these moments matt wishes so badly that he could be what ryan wants. he knows this is all so wrong and it pains him, but he just cant let ryan go.

ryan asks to finally meet this persona that matt has created in person. he doesnt know what to do. he doesnt want to tell him no— to let him down. he didnt think about it this far. and he knows itll sting for him just as much as it will ryan but he ghosts. all messages to ryan completely halted. he cries and cries, disgusted with himself and his actions. ryan continues to message him and he wants so badly to respond. to make both himself and ryan feel better. its no use, what would he even say at this point? its best to just leave this whole stunt where its at.

dont make it worse matthew, dont respond to his messages. but god is it a rush to the head to see him like this. ryan desperately begging matt to reply back to him. ryan backtracks, says that hes fine with keeping things exclusively digital for now. dont give in matthew, you know this wont end well.
