Hi everyone, I’m trans nb, hispanic, and the eldest child of two immigrant parents and the pandemic has hit my family very hard. 

I have never done this before and I cannot help but feel ashamed. 

Since March my father and I had lost our jobs and I am the only one in my family until today who is paying for rent. My parents have been attempting to make due with bills and groceries by selling their belongings and house furniture. I am the only one in my family of four that is eligible for unemployment, but I have not received anything at all yet and I am running out of time. I have enough money for two more months of rent, excluding bills and groceries. My father is still waiting to be called back into work as a server where he will be expected to work at least 2 shifts a week where he will end up making at least $20-$30 maximum per shift. Even if I hold down a job within the month, the minimum wage here, even above a few dollars, wouldn’t be able to cover all of our expenses. And my parents owe a payment for our single car next month on top of it all. We don’t have the money to pay for the legal fees that it would take to break the contract we made for rent here, we don’t have the time to search for an apartment (it would cost nearly the same as renting our current house), and we don’t have the money to pay for a garage to store the rest of our items- leaving us to possibly reside in a motel if it comes down to it. I have very little followers so it would mean a lot to me if this could get some attention. I will be opening up quick $10 dollar commissions for icons on my art blog if I have the time.
