Facts on The Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna

Tatiana had a love for animals and was known to have several pets which include dogs and cats which she doted on

Tatiana was musically inclined and liked to play the piano she and her sister olga would often play together

Tatiana as well as being fluent in many languages she was also skilled in morse code she learnt as part of her training as a nurse during World War 1

Out of all the children she was the one most like her mother

Tatiana was the most regal of all her sisters

She had a presence about her people who met her knew that she was the daughter of the most powerful man in the world (the tsar )

Tatiana siblings called her the governess as she was the most organised and self-assured . Tatiana enjoyed needle work she was the only one to grasp it . Tatiana longed for friends her on age but because of her high ranking and her mother's distate from society restricted her social life .

Out of the five siblings, Tatiana was the most orderly and practical. She would often correct her siblings and remind them about behaving when they were rowdy.

Facts on The Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna

Olga had a deep love for literature and was a avid reader.she love to  read classics of Russian and European literature.. olga was fluent in many languages including Russian, English, French and German

Olga is a scorpio she was born 15th November 1895.(3rd November os)

Olgas tutors claim she had a remarkable quick brain and enjoyed studying

Olga was aware of the financial state Russia was in during the First World War and revolution .

Olga is the only Romanov children to have met Queen Victoria and she was only a baby herself.

When Olga was just a baby, her family made a trip to England to visit with Queen Victoria, her mother’s grandmother. Alexandra had always been one of her grandmother’s favorites and Olga was the only one of the Imperial children to meet their great-grandmother, though she had no recollection of it because she was so young.

Throughout her lifetime, her future marriage was a subject often talked about and speculated in the press. However, Olga did not want to marry a prince like many were expecting her to, and instead wanted to stay in Russia.

I think some of the best examples of “anything sounds cool when you say it in another language” are the names of the Soviet space dogs. Like, we all know about Laika, and it’s a pretty cool-sounding name…that translates to “Barker”. Because she had a really loud bark and there was already a dog breed called the laika. This carries over into the rest of the dogs in the program too, for the record; Belka and Strelka, the first dogs to survive being shot into space and to come down safely, had names that translate to “Squirrel” and “Little Arrow”. There were also Pchyolka (“Little Bee”), Mushka (“Little Fly”), Chernushka (“Blackie”), Zvyozdochka (“Starlet”), Veterok (“Light Breeze”), and Ugolyok (“Ember”). Also, Strelka had a puppy who was given to John F. Kennedy. The puppy’s name was Pushinka, or “Fluffy”. This isn’t really relevant, I just think it’s cute.
