Wait what happened with the server thing? /gen /nf

A friend of mine has a TGS (I believe) fan server. Someone had been kicked out in the past for breaking server rules, and now they have been making videos on TikTok, making up horrible stuff about the server mods and the server owner, things that I'd rather not bring up here. In one of those videos they added a picture of the server owner, and I mean a real life picture of that person (who had sent the picture in the server, and it was meant to stay in the server). That specific video seems to have been taken down now, but the others are still up. And this person making false claims has something like 7k followers on TikTok, so it's not just lying to a few close friends or moots, it's something thousands of people could possibly see and believe.

The server owner (a minor by the way) has been very distressed by finding out about this. The whole server they own has been notified (since some chats also have been leaked out of context, among which things meant to stay in age-gated channels) and is working together to report those videos and the account making them, but since it might take a minute before everything gets taken down we're trying to let the word out about this, to warn other people in the JnH fandom who may know the person making the TikTok through mutual servers/social spaces and in general to make sure people know what is actually going on if they do see those videos.

Hey if you've been kicked out of a server and your response is making fake claims about the server owner and the moderators and posting their actual pictures on another social, along with channel-specific (16+) screenshots, do me a favour and throw away your devices until you can be trusted to be on the internet again.

To anyone else in the JnH fandom, please report this stuff if you come across it on TikTok (or if they come to other platforms, report it there too), because we're talking about someone targeting a minor after breaking server rules and that shit should not fly at all.

I wish I could go back to LADS, but there are so many things wrong with Infold that I just can't.

They're blatantly homophobic and transphobic, banning queer topics and art even from spaces that don't concern the studio. "But Chinese laws" I'll pull up the post the official Dislyte account made with five or six fan arts with same sex characters being affectionate, posted on Valentine's day. And this was years ago, I'm sure they have some more recent stuff. Hell you can post queer fanart/bring up queer topics in the official social that's inside the game. If I can recover my account I'm fairly sure my little edits of the official Tang Xuan sprite on a trans flag and the official Abigail sprite on a lesbian flag are still there. Infold has no excuse.

Also the problem with POC players. Again, I'm going to compare it to Dislyte because it's the only other Chinese game I've played enough to have some say on it, even though it was some time ago. Now take LADS and try and look at pictures of black players on kindled. You can't. "But it's hard to-" 1 I've seen straight up black clothes having better definition and shading LADS itself, 2 go and look at Dislyte 3D models for a minute. You can SEE the character, even while just scrolling through them in the Esper menu where you see all the ones you've collected so far. And the animations for ultimates? You see the character and they look good while going through the little scene. And if a POC character gets attacked by another's ultimate and they're supposed to appear in it, you still see the POC character, just like you'd see a white character! Shock! Is it sorcery?! Does Farlight sacrifice their studios' firstborns whenever a POC character gets developed so the shading magically looks good?! NO. THEY ACTUALLY TRY.

[I'm not saying Dislyte is perfect but at least in these regards, they're good. They try. They listen to the feedback they receive. When they fuck up (they have in the past) they fix it. At least they were years ago, but I hope they still are.]

In LADS, I liked the characters, I liked the plot, I love the fighting mechanic... But it would be hypocritical of me to play and support a game that hates me (I'm queer), and enables its fandom's hate (because the hate I've seen people receive just for saying they were a guy player...).

I'm not saying everyone should drop out of the game, but don't blame other factors when the company is at fault. Because my fucking- the amount of people that defend Infold when it comes to this...

Hey! HEY! Remember that the "He's only soft/vulnerable with her" trope is really lovely in fiction, but if applied to reality it contributes to the male loneliness epidemic! MEN NEED TO BE VULNERABLE WITH FRIENDS TOO!!! My pity is at 10 (after only using wishes from this and the prior event). Am I going to try it?

NOPE.

I have to remind myself that's a silly event with no heavy lore. I'm keeping my pity at 10 so that when they drop the arena Sylus myth I'll be ready.

Even if it's at 10, the chances of getting the one card I want in this banner are still low. One out of three. I ain't risking it. I'll save up for the arena myth.
