The perfect response when people try to pressure you or rush you, is that “My time will come.” Some people need to realize that each individual is on their own journey and path in life. No two people are meant to be the same. I don’t believe in being a late bloomer or anything because — everyone arrives to their destination when they’re ready (as long as they’re moving). We are each meant to achieve different things at different times. More people need to internalize this understand this and stop comparing and expecting everyone to be one the same timeline because life doesn’t work that way.

If you’re experiencing this from others, ignore them, remain patient and stay in your lane. You’ll arrive when you’re ready because you’re on your own divine timeline.

Juliet lay down next to her brother, staring up at the stars. As a child, she had often secretly climbed up here to watch the stars and forget everything around her. Now that Dom was here with her, she realised that he probably had always known she went up here. And still, being on top of Fowl Manor never lost its magic.

She fidgeted with her bracelets, unsure of how to start. He remained silent, giving her the time she needed. Suddenly, she felt like other thirteen-year old girls must feel in this situation.

"Dom?" she whispered, not quite sure if she was allowed to say his name. He didn't tell her not to, only answered with a soft "hmm?"

She hesitated once more, and then, like pushing herself over an edge, she spluttered:

"What if a girl likes other girls, rather than other boys?"
