yeah, robbie here. i’m going to take over for this one. tambry’s literally my best friend in any universe you can think of. this place was fun before, i guess. but i’m so fucking glad she got a blog because it’s been about 1000x better since she joined. don’t know how i’d stay sane without her. much love. very yes. <3 …amanda’s pretty cool, too. i know she’s one of dace’s most important people so there’s that.

"...Yeah, yeah, I get it. It was kind of jacked up for me to uh... Crawl out of my grave. But honest, I won't hurt anyone! I won't eat any brains, and I don't wanna creep anyone out on purpose."

"I uh... Is there any way I could make it up to you? Are we still friends?"

You don't even know what you're trying to make up to her. Lying about being a human? Freaking her out? Getting a check-up from her father and end up being far spookier than imagined? Being undead?

In any case, you once again bring yourself to question why you were brought up from the dead again. Something about that smelled fishy, and not the fact that you're a pile of semi-rotting corpses.

"Elzbeth…?" That name sounds really familiar to the teen, but he can’t but his finger on it… It wasn’t exactly common. …Damn. That’s going to bug him until he figures it out. But, whatever. He will figure it out eventually. He really doubts her honesty on just moving here; usually newcomers garner some kind of attention. I mean. There’s not much in the way of news around here and Toby hadn’t published a move-in report… "…Yeah, alright. Nice to meet you or whatever."

Robbie looks around and spots a sturdy looking tomb perching on the edge. "Why the hell did you choose Gravity Falls?"

"W-well, I didn't get much say. Parents wanted to move in. A couple'a lumber workers looking for a uh.. new home. They wanted to live in a small town again but I guess in another state. Go figure."

Ohhh boy, he's suspicious. You can see it in his eyes. As per nervous habit, you jam your hands into your pockets and glance away. It's so hard to try and fake moving in in a small town, what with how gossip gets around and how excited people can be to learn about new neighbors.

And how your name was featured in an obituary three years ago. With a small town, there's probably not a lot of death or the such that isn't reported on or made a spectacle of.

"It's nice to meet you, too, I guess, uh... I never caught your name, I think."

Next question. Since her body is in such excellent condition, that means that she had to be buried no less than twenty years ago. Caskets are now buried in airtight stone vaults and sealed over, both to stop grave robbers and to preserve the integrity of the groundwater. This causes them to rot slowly and means that you can dig them up a few years later without them being unrecognizable or totally rotted. They do need fixing up, but it could be doable to exhume a grave and preserve the corpse.

[I don't really see the question, but she only died three years ago. Coffin tech is probably pretty good nowadays, so she's in pretty good shape. Some of her isn't so much, and she's probably going to have to find replacements one day, but for now she's alright.]

It was so strange to be more knowledgeable about something supernatural than someone who could be considered a part of that classification, and the rather interesting assumption that demons required some sort of animal sacrifice for nourishment was more than enough to make Tambry smile. She could handle this. It would just take a little time. "I’m kind of not a normal person. I mean, I am normal, but I don’t have normal person experiences. I’ve dealt with way more scary things than a living rag doll, dude, and I’ve kept pretty much all of them a secret. Some stuff doesn’t deserve the privacy, but so long as you don’t try to manipulate me and make me feel like I’m the scum of the Earth just because I’m human, you won’t fall into that category.”

"O-oh. Well uh... I don't really know a lot about demons and stuff, I guess. I didn't even know if I believed in ghosts until a little while ago here, I have no idea what ghost-y supernatural stuff does."

Your knowledge on the subject is spotty at best, and it's almost hilarious how terrible you are with that sort of thing. You'd think that an undead anything would know at least a little more about the general subject of the supernatural but you are sorely, sorely lacking in that respect.

Beginning your walk with Tambry back to her house, you keep a hand at your shoulder and your head held... Not exactly high, per say, with how shy you are, but higher than it was this morning. You made a friend, a friend you can trust with your deepest spooky secret, and you're more than glad to see anyone trust you already.

Already, you have a close friend in Tambry, and hopefully you'll keep her for a long time.

"Don’t worry about it. The undead is easier to handle than demons, that’s for sure."

God, it was hard to keep her voice and emotions under control. She couldn’t remember the last normal person she’d come in contact with, and the increased magical presence was starting to get to her again. At least this one didn’t seem to be interested in berating her for actually having opinions and being somewhat freaked out about the whole thing. That would save her the trouble of wanting to punch things while she cried about her loneliness in the privacy of her bedroom.

"Honestly, I’m getting sort of used to these kind of surprises. Doesn’t mean I assume people are magical right from the start, but, well, it’s getting to be so common that I don’t scream anymore." Not in pubic, at least.

"I-I could... y-yeah. That I could see as a problem. Demons, yeah. I-I won't try to uh... eat goats or whatever demons do I guess."

Even with how hard she's trying, you can tell she feels at least betrayed. It's not normal to come across a creature like you, you know that, and it's probably hard to take that you're an amalgamation of dead bodies. It took you at least a little while to come to terms with it. Guilt starts to set in for tricking and/or lying to your new and only friend so far, though you try to hide it (poorly) behind a nervous smile.

"H-heh, yeah. At least you're not panicking..? If I were in your predicament, I'd probably have fainted awhile ago. Th-this isn't something that a normal person would deal with..."

Before you can continue on that train of thought, though, you swallow nervously and turn to finally look her in the eyes.

"U-uh, this goes without saying, b-but can you keep this a secret? I mean...I uh... I-I don't want to get torn apart by police or something. I-I trust you, a-and maybe your closest friends, but please; I don't want it getting out that I'm a spooky monster."

This whole “falling apart at the seams” thing was never going to stop being creepy, was it? Tambry tightened her grip on her phone and nodded dumbly, fingers dancing across the screen before she put the device up to her ear. She turned around and walked a few steps away from the stitched monster, covering her other ear with a hand to better listen to her father’s side of the conversation.

It took less than five minutes to make all the arrangements, the little teen tossing the device back into her purse to beckon Elzebeth in her direction. “Find it yet? Dad says he’s ready whenever, so you can just go in and he’ll, uh… literally patch you up, I guess.”

"Oh! Yeah. I put it in my pocket. I'd show you, but uh... You probably don't want to see that."

With a nervous chuckle, you jerk your neck down to your jacket pocket to point out where your finger went. The finger on your falling-off arm is missing, leaving an awkward little stump. Luckily, profuse bleeding isn't really a problem for you. 

Following her bidding, you stumble slightly up to her, still klutzy from relief that you aren't being shamed for being a monster. You manage to keep your balance and stay on your feet, at least. When you speak again, your tone turns a little more real and genuine.

"...Uh, hey, thanks for not... Flipping out too much. And helping me out, here. I really, really, really appreciate it. We only just met and stuff and here you are taking me being an undead thing like a champ."

Took a break from Gravity Falls artstyle to try drawing her in my own style. I find it easier to make her expressive in mine but it's still a fun challenge otherwise.

I do have to wonder. If Elizabeth is a zombie, why do her eyes look normal? "Gravity Falls" canon is very clear that the eyes of zombies always glow, so does this mean that Elizabeth is something else that is also undead, like Frankenstein's Monster?

She's actually a Frankenstein's Monster, rather than a zombie, you're absolutely right. Honestly, I don't have a good scientific explanation for that bit, nor a lot of her anatomy and being able to feel nerve endings in body parts not connected to her spine. Her eyes SHOULD be fogged over as she was dead for a long while, and her head should be a rotten pile of goo, but I figure supernatural shenanigans could be called into play here.

A lot of her falling apart will probably be for slapstick comedy if anything. In my last ask and the RP with Tambry I'm working with, she's compared herself and I've compared her to Frankenstein's Monster rather than a full-blown zombie.

In shorthand, she calls herself a zombie because it's easier to say than 'Frankenstein monster' or 'a modern Prometheus'.

First question. Is this character reanimated like Frankenstein's Monster? She looks rather normal. Second question. When will that annoying stuttering stop? Final comment: I like your drawings.

1) Her resurrection is mentioned in her bio, but I'll repeat it here: during one of Bill's odd schemes perhaps, lightning struck gravity falls cemetary and brought to life several chunks of flesh from several graves. Between that and some odd magic, Elz was zapped back to life, and sewn together from many different bodies.

Her head is her own before she died, it was kept intact after a car accident that killed her awhile back for the most part. Everything else is stitches and falling apart:

2) That annoying stuttering is her being nervous. Sometimes she has trouble speaking through a mix of anxiety and fear, and disappears when she's calm or less stressed than usual. I do apologize if it makes rps hard to read, but I try to keep it to a minimum while fitting her character.

"Dad’s office it is, then."

Tambry watched the other girl pull herself together, hands hesitantly reaching out to grab her in case she fell. Thankfully, her wobbling was never bad enough to require assistance, and the shorter teen folder her arms over her chest as she began tapping a nonsensical rhythm on her forearms. 

"Yeah, I’m… I’m not that type of person. I can understand the fear, though. That’s pretty much the kind of thing that would happen if you had run into someone like Sprott first. But, uh… yeah. I’m more of the ‘freaks the fuck out’ type. At least I had some warning this time. Helped a lot."

"H-heh, yeah. Th-thanks again."

You sigh in relief and keep your hand to your shoulder. You blink in surprise, though, as you remember you had a little chunk of yourself in your pocket, and glance around on the ground, looking for your finger. It's not that hard to find, really, being a chunk of human flesh, and you're sure you can manage the search on your own.

"Y-you uh... call your dad, I guess. You had to tell him I was coming over? I have to find part of my hand that fell off earlier."

In retrospect, she really should have seen that coming. There weren’t a great many reasons for a ghost to be feeling pain in their shoulder, and zombies were, in her brief experience, far too disgusting to pass for a human from this close of a distance. Still, Tambry was just a normal little teenager, and she let out a gasp of shocked surprise as she watched the poor limb clatter to the ground.

"AH! Ah… ah. That looks bad. Really, really bad. Damn.”

Focus. This wasn’t nearly as terrible as it could have been. Frankenstein’s monsters didn’t eat brains, nor did they enjoy ripping people to shreds. Well, not until their asshole creators decided to abandon them, at least. This was manageable.

"Okay. Ooookay. Let’s just… let’s just tuck that thing away and get you to my dad’s, Rag Doll. Or maybe a sewing place if you’d prefer that kind of treatment."

"R-right... N-no tailors, please, I-I'd like something besides string to put me together. Falling apart because of less-than-surgical-quality string hurts..."

You try to giggle, but feel a little woozy. Not out of illness, but out of relief; she was really, really accepting of your being a zombie. With a slightly unbalanced legs, you stumble a little as you reach down and grab your arm,stuffing it back into its sleeve and holding it up at the shoulder to look remotely human.

You nearly fall backwards as you straighten up and need a second to bring yourself upright and balanced. A nervous chuckle makes its way out of your throat as you hold yourself upright and smile at Tambry.

"This... Th-this went uh... A-a lot better than I thought it would. A lot less being sold to the government and being lit on fire than I thought."

God. Fucking. Dammit.

Of course this was a magic thing. Everything was a magic thing, nowadays. Tambry slumped over a bit, hands hanging down by her sides as she glanced over Elzebeth’s form. Let’s see… werewolf? She didn’t seem all that hairy. What else… she didn’t let Tambry touch her. Did that indicate she actually couldn’t be touched? That might have been a clue that she was a ghost. Then again, Iri was the only one of those she’d ever seen, and he was more solid than a lot of the things she’d come across these days.

"Yeah, I meant supernatural weird. Alright, let me have it. What’s your story, and are you going to try to hurt my dad if he tries to help you out?"

"U-uhm... Okay. Okay, alright... Uh... S-so, have you ever uh... read Frankenstein? Or uh... Do you just know the movie. B-because I'm uh... I'm more like book Frankenstein's monster, not movie Frankenstein's monster stereotypes."

With a quick inhale and exhale, you slowly let go of your shoulder, and your arm slumps down to your side, sliding out of your jacket sleeve down to the elbow, revealing sewn together and surprisingly not horribly rotten skin. Your hand is still missing the finger, which tumbles out of your jacket pocket.

Luckily, you're not a bloody, gory mess, and now that it's severed, you can't feel the pain of stitches tearing into your skin. Your arm isn't numb by any stretch of the imagination, and you can still make your hand move, but you're not going to move it and scare her with it until you're sure she won't try to burn you alive or something for just being a monster.

You flinch back, shutting your eyes, and wait for Tambry's reaction, repeating your defense.

"B-book Frankenstein's monster! Not movie Frankenstein's monster! I-I won't hurt anyone, I swear! Don't r-report me t-to the government!"

"Of course it’s okay. Let me just let him know we’re on our way and we can start heading over there, alright?"

Tambry tilted her head, trying to decipher the other girl’s words before asking what was possibly an insensitive question. Really jacked up? That was bad, right? So… oh.

"Hey, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Sure, Dad’s doesn’t have too much experience with prosthetics, but hey, first time for everything. He’s a careful doctor. You’ll be in good hands, dude."

You can't help a nervous, scared chuckle, still holding your arm to your shoulder. Oh boy, you're going through with this, you're really, really going through with this. Whelp, if worst comes to worst you can... You don't really have a plan, you just really really hope Tambry doesn't panic.

"U-uh... N-no, not.. Not... a pros... Oh boy. E-er... T-Tambry, when you mentioned... weird stuff in Gravity Falls, di-did... er... did you mean... uh... supernatural weird, m-maybe..?"

Heck, if you're lucky,maybe she's just used to weird shit! That'd be quite the lucky break... You might as well pin all your hopes on that. It's pretty important that she knows what's happening with your  body if she's going to bring you to a doctor.

"Really? Hm, that’s weird. What’s your last name?" he raised his eyebrows inquisitively, hoping that she didn’t find it too odd that he was asking so many questions. "I don’t know, I just feel like I’ve heard your name before somewhere."

Robbie’s attention was easily diverted to the subject of music and, if she was trying to keep his focus away from another topic, she was definitely succeeding because he could talk about music pretty much all day. “Oh yeah, I like lot’s of different things. Rock’s probably my favorite, though.”

"Rock's good! I'm glad you like that a little more than screamo and tunes like that. It's just a lot closer to my jams."

"It's easier to pick out the melodies and hum them and stuff. I'm more fond of melodies than intense solos. What about you? Or are you a lyrics kind of guy?"
