so i’m definitely the mom of my friend/coworker group because i’m the oldest, i tell them to make better life decisions than i did, and i bought a groupon for us to all go bowling on saturday night.

i kinda not really have my shit together.

so i just read a blog post about 14 common characteristics of line and cooks and i fit almost all of them.

surprisingly none of the were about cussing a lot, having tattoos, smoking cigarettes, or drinking.

all of which i do, but that’s not the point.

like one of them was that we’re artists who need a creative outlet but don’t have artistic skill.

and also that we’re on edge all the time, and probably drink at least a double espresso per shift

yep, i’d say that’s pretty accurate. bring it on, back of house.

also, i’m one of five females in a 60 person kitchen staff, which feels good to me. most of the people i live with are guys and i’m so over female work drama.

not saying guys don’t cause drama, because they do. but in my experience, it’s not nearly as bad, and they’re much more upfront than girls.
