MCDONALD’S IS HEALTHY!!
Hey guys, I just managed to sneak out of my FEMA camp long enough to warn you! The shapeshifting lizard/anti-christ/secret Mulsim, Barack Obama aka Barack Muhammad Obama aka Barry Soetoro has trapped me here while he time travels back and forth through the jump room to Mars, planning his attack and the beginning of his 3rd term as president/dictator/head imam. Trump sold us out for a machine that shapeshifts him to look like Jared Kushner and is deliberately sabotaging the nation to make us so grateful for Obama's/Beelzebub's return that we will welcome our own annihilation and invasion by the interdimensional lizards/Martians/Muslims/hellspawn, etc. lead by Obama. Chemtrails are making us fat and stupid so we will be more easily conquered. MCDONALD's IS HEALTHY!! They want us to keep having guns because they EAT LEAD so when we shoot them they will just get stronger. We will scream "Eat lead, motherf*ckers!" and then they will eat the lead and f*ck our mothers to create lizard/nephilim hybrids to rule over us and turn us all gay so we can't reproduce. I've been sending secret tweets to Ellen DeGeneres through a mole here in the FEMA camp, but I'm starting to suspect she is in on it. Beware the Deep State! Get the word out!
All credit to @kickflipinyaface for the gif. Check out http://pbskids.org/daniel/ for the current version of Mr. Rogers neighborhood. I heard it's free with Amazon Prime. Thanks commenters! I didn't know that existed! Don't for to check in and/or help your actual neighbor! Have a great day everyone!

Mormons score statistically poorly for mental illnesses, and both members and psychologists agree aspects of church culture contribute to those numbers.

Marquan Ellis was evicted from his home in Las Vegas when he was 18.
His mother battled with a drug and gambling addiction while he stayed at his godmother’s house. But he couldn’t stay there forever.
He found his way to the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth where he enrolled in the independent living program.
He isn’t sure what he would have done if he hadn’t found that program: “I would have been on the street looking for someone to help, looking for my next meal, looking for my next shower, looking for my next place to sleep.”
Like Ellis, some 4.2 million young people experience unaccompanied homelessness in the course of a year, according to a new study from Chapin Hall a research center at the University of Chicago.
One in 30 teens experience some type of homelessness and it’s more common the older you get: one in 10 for young people aged 18 to 25. The study also found that African American youth are 82 percent more likely to experience homelessness.

On the Bowery in the '80s, Richard Avedon protege Drew Carolan captured the mien of a subculture centered around mid-afternoon expressions of anger and community. The hardcore kids ain't kids no more.
I thought this was fascinating to see where life took all of these people who were all interested and united by the same thing in their youth. What an adventure life is.

I remember the common refrain used to be that "guns don't kill people, people kill people." If not a gun, then a bomb, an axe, a shovel, a car, a stone, or their bare hands. The end of a standard 0.46 e-string through the ball end would make a decent garrote. Killers gonna kill, bro.
That line of thinking is pretty much always the first response. Someone got shot because of mental health, social injustice, inequality, poverty, religion etc. as if the only way to solve gun violence is to solve the deeper problems of humanity first. It's pretty simple really: if nobody had guns, nobody would get shot. But that ain't gonna happen.
Then there's "if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." Maybe that's true. Maybe that's a good enough reason not to make any changes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Then there's always some defense of guns themselves or the particular guns that were used and how making those guns illegal wouldn't do anything because blah blah blah blah gun nerd stuff. How was he so efficient? How did he stay cool under pressure? What mods did he have on those rifles? What equipment did he use? &etc. I literally heard a newscaster asking those kinds of questions on cable news last night. Had to turn it off.
Since we aren’t willing to modify that right or give it up, I think its just time as Americans that we just accept that people dying from gun violence is the price of our freedom to own guns. Not just the victims of mass shootings but also the victims of crime, suicide, and accidents too. Just the other week a 4 year old shot herself looking for candy in her grandmother's purse. It is the blood of the victims that buys our right to have guns.
I’d be just fine without it thank you very much.
Ain’t that the truth
What do people mean when they say the “media” has a “liberal” bias?
I've often wondered what people mean when they say the "media" has a "liberal" bias. What are they really saying?
liberal: ADJECTIVE,
1. Willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas. 1.1 Favourable to or respectful of individual rights and freedoms. 1.2 (in a political context) favouring individual liberty, free trade, and moderate political and social reform. 1.3 Relating to Liberals or a Liberal Party, especially (in the UK) relating to the Liberal Democrat party. 1.4 Theology Regarding many traditional beliefs as dispensable, invalidated by modern thought, or liable to change. 2. attributive (of education) concerned with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training. 3.(especially of an interpretation of a law) broadly construed or understood; not strictly literal. 4.Given, used, or occurring in generous amounts. 4.1 (of a person) giving generously.
"liberal" defined
I am also not ever sure who is included in the "media." I don't think that in their mind the term "the media" includes Fox News or Breitbart or the Christian Broadcasting Network news. I suspect it includes CNN and the New York Times and the Huffington Post.
In my head the phrase translates roughly to this: "Certain media outlets that some people accept as trustworthy have a bias in favor of principles, ideas, or lifestyles to which I am opposed and so I do not trust that the things they report are facts."
In shorter form: "I don't agree with them, so they are probably wrong."
