Hades walks through the Elysian Fields, hands clasped behind his back. His shoes softly press down on the green grass as he strolls, nodding his head at people who address him. He’s dressed in black suit, the only light thing on his being the set of pearls that his wife had made him two summers ago when she was with her mother, pretending she was making it for herself. She brings him back little things like that. Such as the purple ring that rests on his middle finger, right next to his gold wedding band that she had insisted on getting him without the knowledge of her mother. These jewels stand out beautifully on him, and he wears them proudly, making sure the entire Underworld can see them as he walks by, elegant and expensive in taste.
Speaking of his wife, she is nowhere to be seen, going missing shortly after breakfast. She’d calmly eaten and then excused herself with a kiss to her husband’s cheek, turning around to leave the room. Hades sat in his throne for the majority of the day, often yelling at his servants for being unable to do their job correctly. It was just that sort of day, and it didn’t help that his Persephone had run away from him for the entire day, which led him to stroll along the Fields he knew she’d be at.
He can tell she’s been at Elysian Fields because flowers have popped up in places they usually wouldn’t have. He notices that one woman wears a crown of them on her head, the stems neatly tucked in, and only Persephone could have done this. Another man carries a bouquet of roses to someone else. Harry ducks his head to nod at some more people, and then he stops walking, bringing his hands to his front to messily play with his rings. His eyes scan over Fields, making sure he’s covered every inch with his sight.
Still, she’s nowhere to be seen.
