Don’t Piss Your Life Away

I penned these thoughts four years ago, and much has changed since then. Many rough ups and downs have occurred, some of which I almost let destroy my spirit and identity. However; I am choosing to live by these words I originally posted (below). Remember that each day of your life is a chance for a resolution, not just one at the end of the year. Thought I would share:

*May this New Year bring us abounding JOY and LAUGHTER!!! May it allow us to see awesome opportunities ahead, and may we step out in faith, knowing that each day is precious, and so are we...every single human being!

*May we recognize that our lives are a gift to be celebrated daily; doing what we LOVE, what we absolutely feel that we were put on this earth for! If you don't know what that is yet; search your heart and go after it, no matter how difficult the obstacles in getting there are!

*I challenge every one of you beautiful souls to realize and accept your purpose in life with excitement. Let's put the past behind us, never regretting, but learning and growing from it. Listen; I know first hand that remembering these things is not easy. I have to push myself to do this daily, to not beat myself up mentally, BUT:

It's not worth it to piss your life away!

Mistakes may have been made, but we can't be ruled by self loathing. It's a process. We're constantly being molded to become the best version of ourselves--if we allow it.

Dig in. Have fun. Grasp your destiny. You're never too young or too old! Be encouraged!

My Grampa Q would have turned 100 years old today. It’s a crazy thought!! I’ve been missing him something terribly lately. There are days that I really could use a dose of his humor, followed by that unmistakeable chuckle and sparkle in his eyes. My heart is so torn up over this. Yesterday, we woke up to news that my cousin, Josh Porter, was among the three that were killed in a crab fishing accident. Please keep his wife, Denise, and all the family in your prayers. I can’t speak highly enough of the incredible man he was. His life touched countless others. Personally speaking, he was so encouraging and supportive of my career, which I’ll forever be thankful for and never forget.
