I really enjoy redrawing the frames from Beauty and the Beast with Jayvik.

Isn't our Viktor a Beauty?

Imagine Jayce from another world gets here and comes to Viktor. Vik washes him, gives him clothes (there were obviously problems with the sizes).

I have three ideas for this picture:

1. In this world, everyone writes from right to left, from bottom to top (🌚), and Jayce feels like a person with dyslexia.

2. He found Viktor's journal with notes on how to turn Warwick from a monster back into a human.

3. He found Viktor's drawings of his naked sleeping body (🌚🌚🌚)

Heartstopper and Jayvik crossover

I really love Alice Oseman's Heartstopper series and I think Charlie and Nick are very similar to Viktor and Jayce. Especially in matters of caring for your partner and “Did you eat well today Charlie/Vik?” So here's a crossover where Viktor and Jayce met in high school.

I'm still not entirely sure what kind of activities they were involved in, whether it was sports like in Heartstopper or maybe they are now in the back room of the laboratory. Hmm, why not, let's imagine that Viktor is not yet lame and a wonderful runner, like Charlie. Perhaps because in Zaun running fast is an excellent skill for survival. They play some Piltie game like rugby, and once a boy from a group of bullies intentionally bumps into Vik and breaks his leg so that now he not only can’t play rugby, but has to walk with a cane. I can imagine Jayce's feelings, but beyond all the despair, guilt and rage, he would be an incredibly caring and supportive partner (sorry for this little angst moment).

But for now they are happily kissing in the back room, not at all expecting that Miss Young will suddenly catch them. I really like to imagine them as teenagers in love. I absolutely adore the couple Charlie and Nick, they are such a cuties, and I am very grateful to the author Alice Oseman for showing what a healthy relationship should be.

And many thanks to my Sunshine @slasher-art , who introduced me to both fandoms, watching them with you was a great happiness❤️🩷.

HEARTSTOPPER

HEARTSTOPPER is a webcomic by Alice Oseman. Updates on the 1st, 11th, and 21st of each month at 11am...

Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to buy volumes 4 and 5 yet, they were quickly sold out in Ukraine, so I’m waiting for an additional edition, but those pages of the comic that are in the author’s account intrigued me incredibly.

Jayvik has some kind of magic of its own - they fit perfectly into any universe, any fandom, with them it would probably be possible to make a crossover with even Robinson Crusoe, even with the game Plants vs. Zombies.

And now, re-reading Heartstopper, which I fell in love with because of Charlie and Nick, I can easily imagine Viktor and Jayce in their place. Just imagine how Vik gets bullied at school because he's gay from Zaun who doesn't even have a last name (until Jayce suggests his own, of course😏), how Jayce chivalrously defends him, how they start liking each other more and more, and how Jayce desperately tries to find a book about bisexuality because Google hasn't been invented in their world yet.

By the way, when I started translating phrases from Ukrainian back into English, I realized that they could be translated differently from the original, and I started looking for the right page from the author and guess what? Some pictures in my book and the one posted by the author do not match! I wonder if it was because the book was still available for pre-order at that time and Alice Oseman later changed some pages for printing?

So if anyone here has the third volume in English, I would be very grateful if you open page 590 and write whether your pictures are the same as in my book or the same as in the author’s account (whiter version up here⬆️). By the way, I really like the softer color of the pages, so I made the background a little different. And I'm going to redraw some more moments I like there.

Fans of Charlie and Nick, Viktor and Jayce and anyone else are welcome to comment, I really love discussions, even if we have opposite opinions, the main thing is to conduct the discussion civilly.

Jayce unconsciously clutches Viktor's cane the way he wishes he could hug him now. Viktor’s cane is his integral attribute and seems to have become a part of him.

And Mel takes that part away from Jayce to replace it with her support.

So I went back and rewatched this scene just to make sure and yep, Mel's 100% pushing the cane TO Jayce.

Jayce is sitting on a wheeled stool so he comes over to where Mel's sitting, cane still in hand

It's definitely a "blink and you'll miss it moment" but she's very clearly pushing the cane to Jayce.

The movement even continues through this subsequent shot

Then when Jayce goes in for a hug he lets go of the cane of his own accord but it's still nestled in the crook of his arm when he hugs Mel and Mel is still holding onto it (Cane circled in red)

I would say the moment is more symbolic of how Jayce views Mel as a support, that he's able to temporarily loosen his hold on his biggest priority (Viktor and his promise not to weaponize Hextech) and trusts her to keep a hold on it - and she does, given how she subsequently pushes against weaponizing hextech.

Thank you so much for this note! I rewatched this moment and there is indeed movement when Mel pulls the cane towards herself, but then she makes the opposite movement, pointing the cane towards Jayce. Little beautiful details and Arcane symbolism.

I think when she faced the attack on the Piltover council, she became more openly emotional, more empathetic. She seems more vulnerable to me and as if she has reconsidered her priorities about what is really important.

100% agreement on your last point.

In my experience Mel Medarda has been subjected to so much blatant misrepresentation in the fandom I feel it very important to clarify what’s actually going on in her scenes. This ranges from people reading her actions in the worst possible light (99% of all analysis of That Fucking Bomb Disposal Scene) to straight up lying about what she’s doing in a given scene (the infamous Twitter post claiming that during the office break in Mel doesn’t ever look to talk to Viktor when…she very clearly does look at him). It’s also important to distinguish between what is a headcanon vs again, what is actually onscreen. We can have all the wild speculation we want about characters’ sexualities and headcanons but unless you have textual evidence to back it up it’s just headcanon.

Thanks, I rewatched that moment, she actually moves the cane towards herself, then towards Jayce, and then, as far as I understand, she holds it while Jayce lies on her lap. I'm very far from saying anything bad about Mel, because she is my favorite female character in Arcane and I love the fact that all her manipulations, her diplomacy are solely aimed at the good.

She could make an effort to persuade the council to act only in her own interests, but she does this not only for her own sake, but also for the prosperity of society

Hmmm, there are some nuances here regarding headcanons and canons.

On the one hand, there are obvious facts that are clearly stated, such as the Kirammans are rich and powerful, Viktor is from Zaun, and Mel is sleeping with Jayce. This is canon.

The idea that Viktor is a lost child from another world; Mel, Jayce and Viktor are happily raising their children together is already a headcanon.

But besides what is clearly said, there are nuances that can be interpreted in different ways.

The creators of Arcane left a lot of Easter eggs and hid a lot of symbolism in their works. And so they can be interpreted differently by different people.

For example, the scene where Viktor, in the body of his puppet, attacks Jayce, lifts him by the neck and strangles him, but is then distracted when Mel attacks him. Jayce is almost faints, a little more and Viktor will kill him. Is he going to kill him because Jayce rejected him and refused to join?

Or is he going to strangle him until he faints, and then “join him to the glorious evolution”? Or he's simply not yet fully accustomed to his new body and, distracted by Mel's attack and what she has become, he doesn't notice that he's killing his partner.

These are the moments that are shown, and if someone thinks that option one is correct, and the other thinks that the third is correct, this doesn’t even seem to be a headcanon. It is rather a different perception and understanding of points not fully disclosed and explained.

The scene where they hug at the end can be interpreted as both friendship and love. The fact that they disappeared could be annihilation or teleportation.

It seems to me that the headcanon is more of an offshoot of one's own fantasies, but in many of Arcane's scenes this could be a different interpretation of ambiguous moments.

In any case, I like to see and discuss different points of view. Arcane is a masterpiece.
