My inspiration for this piece was the rain. It has been raining a lot here lately and I LOVE the rain, the sounds, the smell, it all brings me comfort. The Labradorite is meant to resemble the droplets of rain. So I guess you can say that the Kyanite is the cloud.

Atol (Ah Tohl) De Elote! Traditional Salvadoran Treat. If I even catch a whiff of Atol i’m transported to the dirt streets of San Salvador. It reminds me of the smells of the streets lined with vendors all trying to lure you in to try one of the many treats my beautiful country has to offer. Stalls filled with fresh cut fruit ready to eat, empanadas and Buñuelos (Fried flour mixture dipped in syrupy sauce made of Molasses). I miss my country. I miss the trees and the sounds of nature. One day I will return and I will take my children to so they can experience El Salvador and all it has to offer. The grandparents are all gone but we can still go back confident that they are still with us while we sit back and enjoy a Raspádo (shaves ice) or a Charamúsca and reminisce.

Why is there always a Queen Bee in Etsy Teams?

It’s such a pain in the ass I swear!!! Im a quiet person, I mind my business. I am polite to others and Im positive as much as anyone can be in life but goodness..Why is there always someone that thinks themselves superior? Someone is always trying to One-Up someone else. Where is this whole “i’m better than all of you” mentality even coming from? I’ve met so many great people on Etsy, Artists, amazingly talented and I wouldn’t ever think to hate on what they do. I admire it, I share it as much as I can, hell I even help give them some exposure because Why Not? I can’t do what they do. It leaves newbies on Etsy confused when you stumble upon these stupid Queen Bees and then you have to just suck it up and make your own teams just to not have to deal with them. Sorry, just venting. Needless to say, I’ve been “stung” by my fair share of Queen Bees since I opened my shop and i’m only going on 2 months. Wish me luck. :(
