Here's an update from a terribly long art block.
Also including the alternative version
Sorry I haven't posted much, as you can see I've been having an art block, and I'm trying to get over it. I just needed some motivation, and reading art magazines and such kind of brought that back into me.

This is my attempt at wakfu style art UM
Though I could never do it as well as she does, this is in the style of ghostmeat's THUNDERPAW icons for Katie.
Can you share the secret to smooth lines? No matter what I do, my line work becomes pixelated when I scan it. I don't have Photoshop, but I'm trying to figure out how to improve my work.
Okay what you have to do is make sure you're working on a large canvas and when I say large I mean like 3000x3000px on 300ppi (dpi) and just work from there. Make sure your brush has no spacing in it, and I also utilized the pen tool like there's no tomorrow. I discover things as I go along, but I guess the jist of it is QUICK STROKES and HUGE CANVASES. Yeah, I hope that helped!!! Sorry if it's a lame explanation.
