You’re kind. You’re thoughtful. You’re generous. I like thinking about you. I like dreaming about you. Not only do I love you, I like you.
Bruce Adler (via wnq-writers)
achilles is so often called gay by the community and straight by society even though he fell in love with men and women. freddie mercury is known as the most famous gay man even though he self identified as bisexual. channing tatum is constantly called straight even though he’s dated men and women. evan rachel wood and angelina jolie and drew barrymore–all self identified bi women constantly called straight.
sappho wrote love poems for both men and women and yalls response to the idea that she might have been bi is “there was no concept of bi/gay back then!! let’s focus on the fact that she was sapphic!!” to the point where her name has become synonymous with gay and she’s called a lesbian icon and y'all only seem to have issues with “concepts” and labels when the concept/label is BI. why am i not surprised?
sometimes, when i want to really treat myself, i turn my phone brightness up juust a little bit. i feel like i’m splurging. like i’m living a king’s life. sometimes i turn it up all the way and i’m like, “this is what god’s phone screen looks like.”

I DONT CARE IF YOU LIKE STEVEN UNIVERSE OR NOT
If you suffer from Anxiety, Depression, Disassociation, Intrusive thoughts, or any number of things that take you away from a healthy head-space then this song is for you. This song is a template for a coping mechanism. This will walk you through a legitimate method of addressing intrusive thoughts and working through them in order to ground yourself. I cannot express how important this is- for people like me who suffer from these moments all the time this song is so important.
Garnet is teaching Stevonnie Mindfulness meditation. Its a practice to help ground a person to the present moment. This is a lifesaver for people with heavy, constantly running, and wandering minds.
With Mindfulness Meditation you are allowing yourself to pull away from your thoughts and to focus on whats going on right then and there. The rhythm of your breathing. The weight of your limbs and the pull of gravity. The tension you may have been holding in spots you didnt know you were. And your thoughts. Being mindful is not meant to quiet your thoughts. Sometimes they’re as automatic as your beating heart. Its not meant to get rid of your pain, either. But you’re able to pull away from thoughts and emotions. You can observe them without being a part of them. You can watch them and not relive it. After all, you cant relive the past and you cant predict the future…all you ever have is the now. I live with Anxiety and Depression and this is the most effective and most powerful coping skill I have. It doesnt require anything extra [ you just need yourself and a quiet spot ] , you can do it just about anywhere , and, if practiced enough, you can learn to do it on the go. Its great for emergencies. Garnet was an amazing teacher for this, but the person I learned Mindfulness from is Eckhart Tolle. If you want some more help, I would suggest reading his book, The Power of Now.

i always see these posts about feminine/masculine presenting nonbinary kids and that’s great!! but here to the enbys that
use they/them pronouns exclusively
use nounself pronouns or neopronouns but are actually afraid to admit it because they’re afraid that they’ll be made fun of
are actually made fun of because their name or pronouns or whatever they choose to go by are too ‘weird’ and ‘inconvenient’
literally do not care which pronouns you use
go by a gender neutral name, or two, or three
look so androgynously that strangers will stare at them in public trying to figure out if they’re ~male or female~
bind with a binder that is too big or wear only small breast forms so they only have a bit of chest
are intersex
make their own box at surveys were the only gender options are ‘male’ and ‘female’
have to make their own word describing their gender because the ones that exist don’t fit them
have transphobic parents that barely even understand the concept of binary trans ppl and have to educate them about nonbinaryness
have a neurodivergency or mental illness that influences their gender
it’s awesome y’all exist and continue to remain strong and mysterious in such a binary world!!
If Aphrodite had stomach rolls then so can I
This is veryveryvery important. My wife was feeling down about herself the other night and asked me “why do I look like this?” And I immediately brought up a photo I had taken of a sculpture of Aphrodite I had taken at the Chicago MOMA. I said, “look at this picture. What does she look like?” And my wife very shyly answered “Me…” (Literally her body is IDENTICAL to the sculpture) so I replied “that is the Goddess Aphrodite. THAT is why your body looks like this.”
I very rarely reblog miscellaneous posts but there are some followers of mine who really need to see this.
Oh shit I’m crying thank you
Remember, a lot more of you have the bodies of goddesses than you might think.
BOOM. Love yourself, darlings.
i am not who i want to be and it kills me
Date a nonbinary person who doesn’t like hugs, but always hugs you.
