DELTARUNE THEORY: Who’s to Blame for Spamton’s Pain?
Seems like a weird title, since I kind of already went over who Tenna is and how he seems to be the guy behind Spamton’s woes. But is he really?
Again it’s a weird question. But let’s look at the evidence. Spamton got calls that helped him get TV deals, become a big shot, and then suddenly they stopped and his life fell apart. But why did they stop? Did the TV giving him those deals, presumably Tenna, choose to cut contact?
Or did someone else pull the plug?
Yeah, the TV wasn’t plugged in, for reasons we’re not really aware of, nor are we aware of why it’s plugged in in Chapter 2. But how would this affect the Darkner it becomes, keeping in mind that Darkners do experience things in their lives related to things that happened in the light world before the Dark World is actually formed, hence how Tenna could be in contact with Spamton in the first place.
Would unplugging the TV effectively kill Tenna until he was plugged back in? Would it render him in a state where he didn’t have enough power to communicate outside of his domain? Darkners don’t need to be electrical to be given life, so maybe it stands to reason that Tenna wouldn’t “Die” without power. We’ve seen the Queen without an internet connection, which is sort of similar but obviously pretty different since she’s powered on. (Speaking of that, she definitely implies the internet went out before the Dark World was formed, so if the outage has anything to do with anything or is just an unrelated ocurrence, who knows.)

If Tenna isn’t on, is he even alive? Could this be the reason he left Spamton high and dry, and not malice? Or hey, maybe it was that AND some malice for good measure, who knows. I can’t say that Spamton says anything Tenna did in particular, just that he’s pissed that he was abandoned, so really this one is up in the air, but its an interesting thought.
